I am really hoping that the processor could reach 1m in benchmark scores, that would be a great achievement on a company that was unfairly ban

Sheep099, 12 Sep 2023Does anyone know the performance of Kirin 9000s will be? Wi... moreIt's not gonna be better. This chip is 7nm and features custom cores that has a lot of potential, but at the cost of power. Gizmochina did some fiddling with the hyperthreading feature, and long story short, 22% extra power at the cost of 24% more power draw. It's behind in every case scenario, with a slightly worse power consumption as well against the 2023 chips. But that's expected of a 7nm chip, and it's only beaten by the SD870 in the 7nm league (And the clock speed difference is literally 580 MHz)

Tldr, the chip by default has the CPU and GPU power of an SD865, but can utilize hyperthreading at the MASSIVE cost of heat and power to match the 5nm league. Very impressive for a 7nm chip, but it's not impressive at all against the 4nm chips whatsoever. Huawei needs EUV to manufacture more advanced chips.

Does anyone know the performance of Kirin 9000s will be? Will it be better than SD 8+ gen 1 or SD 7+ gen 2?

          awesome,, nice comeback Huawei.

88.5% screen-to-body ratio is due to that three holes on top?

Soon or later more developers and apps will eb available on harmony play store and will be competitive or rival to google or Apple.
Then you wil not worry for something you dont have.
Even for Huawei it was unexpected move with Harmony but once US started this useless cold war there is no turning back.
Just waiting for the moment when Harmony will be leader in Cell phone OS and will beats rest two like nothing.
US had too much impact on ordinary people and would love to have everything under controll time to turn pages on a book and start anew.

bnvtony, 11 Sep 2023 try face id I could but sometimes I do turn off the face id because of battery longevity, since the front facing camera is always turned on to detect your face another thing is that I am a finger print fan myself, but good point tho

I think the processor details are wrong here in GSMArena

I just come here to state that Huawei was able to bring the air gestures (grabshot and airscroll ) back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YBCG5bpVJk. That is the video for the review. You can also see in the review that the GPU score on the antutu benchmark is still 0 since the GPU is very new, the camera well I think a little to no improvement to the P60 pro, or maybe my eyes is a little weak when comparing images. The phone has two materials in the back probably leather or glass and it has 3 freaking holes on the top, wow. One thing that I may never like about this phone is the placement of the fingerprint scanner, it is really freaking low, almost to the bottom of the phone.

Edit: That is for the mate 60 pro tho

                                "..considerably huge generation gap between."

Between the 888+ and the 8 Gen 2? No, it's not, unless you are a heavy gamer, in which case you aren't looking at this as your next phone, but are choosing between something from ZTE, or maybe from Asus ROG.

LucaKirani, 11 Sep 2023How do you know do you have this phone that you know all th... moreNo, but if this phone's performance (it is) is close to snapdragon 888+, and if compared to snapdragon 8 gen 2, there definitely is a noticeable difference. You don't need to own two phones to compare, that's a considerably huge generation gap between.

Cah Nglayab, 11 Sep 2023I bet the iPhone 15 Pro Max comment section will be hotter,... moreI doubt it, as that phone is out of my interest, so I won't be in the comment section of it. lol

For real, synthetic score is kinda like a gimmick. Real-life performance is a lot better. The ROG Phone 7 Ultimate has a much better synthetic score than the iPhone 12 Pro Max but how about the real-life scenario?

And reminder, Huawei created their own OS. Which simply and/or theoretically means that optimization should be a lot faster and better compared to Android who is used by multiple vendors.

I bet the iPhone 15 Pro Max comment section will be hotter, kinda.
