As for Huawei's case, you will have to put trust in them (a company that has close connection with their gov).
There will be system level huawei services running, and you won't be able to completely disable it no matter how much you try to debloat.
Furthermore, you may attempt to block connections with a packet blocker though occasionally some connection will slip through.

Beautiful looking phone, spec looks phenomenal. too bad i cant get it here and the price actually looks respectable too. maybe i'll try order from China and see if they willing to ship over.

Looks like the mate 60+ not worth the extra $$ in my opinion.

Huawei made the same mistake it made with Mate 50 line up and Mate 70 line up will not sell as Mate 60 or Mate 40 line up.
The problem is Camera bump, that bump is not looking nice at all with 4 camera eyes, if looks are bad, people won't care the inner capabilities .
iam a mate user but Huawei has made phones that look good as Huawei mate 40 pro line up.
Mate 60 series ,tried similar design but big bump, and it sold well.
The curves of screen for mate 40 series are incredible, mate 60 pros is second alternative , and Mate 20pros come in third place.
Huawei mate 50 line up cames forth with mate 70 linup, its the outlook of phones that will let it down in mate 70 line up, the same way mate 50's never sold well.
if i was to buy, i would chose mate 40 pro+, followed by mate 60 pro+, followed by mate 20pro but not the design of mate 50 or mate 70.
If i was to switch out of huawei, Honor magic would be the nearest alternative
