Huawei Mate 70 Pro+ teased in brief hands-on by exec
Huawei is hosting a big event next week with the official launch of the Mate 70 series. We already saw an official image of the Mate 70’s design, and now Huawei chairman Richard Yu decided to share a video that gives us a brief look at the Mate 70 Pro+.
The device in the video appears to have a similar design to the Mate 70 from yesterday’s image but with an altered quad camera setup. We can spot a dedicated periscope lens in the top left corner. The phone in the video features the silver colorway seen in previous leaks, and we get another look at the curved sides and back.
The Mate 70 series is expected to debut Huawei’s latest Kirin 9100 chipset fabbed on SMIC’s N+3 process node (6nm) alongside an updated camera setup headlined by a 60MP main shooter on the Mate 70 Pro and Pro+ models. The Mate 70 series will also be the first Huawei phones to launch with HarmonyOS Next - Huawei's new in-house operating system, that's not based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP).
