Huawei's Surface Pro 4 competitor is called MateBook and it became available in the US and Canada around one month ago. Starting today it's also up for grabs in the UK, though it's not cheap.

Huawei announced that you can buy the MateBook in the UK in two hardware versions from Currys online or one of the following physical stores owned by the same retailer: Stratford, Oxford Street, Aberdeen 2in1-HS, Cardiff, Canary Wharf, Manchester Arndale, Bluewater, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Bath, Brighton, Manchester Trafford, Edinburgh Princes Street, Tottenham Court Road. Only the white/gold color version is sold in the UK. The black model that's available in some markets isn't coming to the UK.

If you want a MateBook, you'll have to pay £749.99 for the entry-level configuration, which comes with an Intel Core m3 processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 128GB SSD. The only other option in the UK is the £999.99 variation that has an Intel Core m5, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD.

How can this be compared to the Book. The Book has Core i5 and i7 processors, this guy only has Core M. Quite a BIG difference.

I think this is a surface book competitor not surface pro. Considering the surface book starts $1900 this isn't a bad price.
