Hi all...
I bought Huawei mediapad 7 lite tablet on 2nd March,2013. Please advice me how to improve battery live by upgrading the Huawei mediapad 7 lite tablet. My Tablet's battery is very poor, not even lasting for 1 hour. How can I check my tablet can be upgradable with Firmware. My tablet Specification is:Android version 4.03, Build Number:S7-931uV100R001c001B...etc.,Kernel Version :3.0.8+.
If the Update is possible, how can I upgrade it.
1)Is micro sd card needed for update.
2)please tell me the webside and procedure for upgrade.
3)Is there adverse effect of the upgrade.

how can i move my download to my sd card, there is no option, also when i download an app 2sd, it state that my huawei mediapad lite 7 wifi is not supported by the app, since i want to move my downloads to my sd card, i have a 16 gb sd card class 10

Ok great Maboalm, you should now have an overall better perfomance and better graphics with some new Icons, plus an improved battery life and speed from this tablet. welldone man!

mines is still 4.0.3 but with less bugs then the older version, if u look at the firmware version on settings >> about tablet you will see that it's now changed slightly from the older version SP3 vs SP13

Ok Maboalm this is how u do it, first step go to this website: http://www.huaweidevice.com/
wo...tid=NDcwNjk= . and download the 448.76MB file, it is actually a zip file, unzip it and inside that zip file you will find a folder called update, open it and inside the folder update you will find another folder called dload. the dload folder contains 3files a pdf file with instructions on how to install the firmware, unlmt and update.app. please confirm that you have these 3files on the folder called dload. I was not happy with the instructions they were not clear because of the English used (not that I am a better English speaker) and so I will help you here to ease the process, cut the pdf file and paste it on your PC desktop (it will help or guide you during the process, so that u may see if u going on the correct direction). once this is done u should have two files left inside the folder dload which is unlmt and update.app. now copy the dload folder that is inside the update folder and paste it into a micro SD card that is empty and formatted to a FAT file system please double check that your microSD card has FAT file system use your tablet to format it if u are not sure it normally formats to FAT, and most important the microSD card must be atleast 4GB or more anything less may not be enough to complete the update and lead to update failure. once formatted(FAT) copy the folder called dload into your micro SD card, and remember only the dload folder, dont copy the whole update folder but just the dload folder inside it, once done open your microSD card and check that you have the dload folder with two files inside it which are unmlt and upadate.app. now your ready to go remove your microSD card, and backup your sms, contacts, and applications that you currently have in your tablet. NB. you might need an extra microSD card to do this, download these two applications sms backup and restore plus app backup and restore in the play store they will help u a lot with backing up your apps plus sms, save all your data on that extra micro sdcard. and please don't use the microsd card that u are going to use to update the firmware with for app backup,sms,contact,pictures, music backup. have an extra one for that like I said used two separate microSD cards one for updating firmware which will have dload folder only and the other one for your data backup(optional) don't forget to save your contact to your sim card also because you will loose everything that is currently on your tablet after the firmware update. when done with backups ensure that your tablets battery has atleast 60% power or rather plug it to power(not PC but directly to a power plug) during the update process. now switch your tablet off, remove the sim card and micro sdcard that has your backups, and then with your tablet in the off state or switched off insert the microSD card with the firmware update (dload folder) and switch it on the update process will start automatically with the green android robot appearing in your screen, please do not touch your tablet during this process, it will also do some auto restarts during the process don't worry its normal just leave it until you get a big and green OK or upgrade successful on your screen then remove your update microsd card. just follow the instructions manual to see the screens you should be getting. after updating u will have the best out of this tablet, with good battery life, and a good looking interface plus some speed. goodluck Maboalm please reply back if you having trouble, I will be happy to assist.

While this is android, it must have Skype. also having 1.2g processor, it can do good Skype.
