finally, able to root. use vroot chinese version, the english one is outdated. thanks to james and alvinski. Those with play store issues use one mobile market, works as well.

james, 14 Dec 2013any feed back if you already root your devicecould not root, devices freezes everytime i activate the vroot
1.6.0.3689 on pc. Have to reboot tablet to get it working again.
Plus vroot is getting alot of flak about sending info to servers in
china.Anyway any additional info will be appreciated otherwise

Bought this Youth tab weeks ago even w/o ips display colours still vivid, smooth interface, speedy fast downloads with wifi/3g, apps/games can move to sd card w/o rooting phone. Overall its a good tablet for ppl out there who wanna budget price.

Hi, I downloaded adobe flash player for watching the films, but it didn't work in this tab I think. When I start to watch a film on viooz.co, the screen is shaking. But I can watch movies on youtube in HD quality. Has anyone faced with this problem? What video or flash player would u recommend me to use?

i have use VRoot_1.6.0.3689_english and updated to 1.7.0..then use superSU to replace superuser chinese..my mediapad youth is now running extra smooth..root titanium backup, Grenify and Wifi pass been installed and haven't encountered any problem with all other google play apps installed..tnx james for the link you gave...100% rooted...
