I have this phone and I really like it. It's the smallest 7incher in the world. People cannot believe how it can fit in their pocket when I let them try it. Beautiful screen, aluminum finish. Mine already came with android 4.4 so there was no lag in the screen that the android 4.2 with huawei UI might have caused.
Some concerns I would have so far:
the LTE 4g works in Asia, Canada, Europe but sadly not USA so Americans are stuck with 3g in america.
I thought single speaker in the back instead of dual front speakers would bother me, but it actually handled fine.
Non replaceable battery? No problem at 5,000 mAmps nothing beats it. Last days.
No NFC, not 64bit. I can live with it.
It's the best. In a nut shell? A 7 inch in my pocket.

Besides we are not sure if Lollipop will work fine on this unit. The same thing happens in other brands unit when Kitkat was introduced, some people said it's better to stay in Jelly Bean.

Is there any there download site to get the update files for the 7D-501L .i've tried so many sites but cant seem to get the correct files..any help? I have this huawei mediapad x1 7.0 7D-501L and I wanted to upgrade it to kitkat ...currently its running only n jelly bean.

i'm from the philippines and i aslo have my huawei mediapad x1 since last year but until now we still don't our official kitkat update....
Any suggestion everyone here....

In this page its mention this can upgrade to kit kat 4.4. But the thing is in system update its not showing the upgarde? please let me how to upgrade? im waiting for the reply...

And by the way, where did you learn that it is not the officail update for this unit? How come that it is not official when it comes from Huawei homepage itself?
Unless it comes from Samsung or HTC homepage, perhaps it will not be official for Huawei units, LOL!
Don't believe hear say until proven.
