here's why:
-nova 5t feels unoptimized for google apps (especially chrome)
-oled display
-likely have better camera due to ois
-SD and jack
-pop up selfie camera
-slightly better battery life (102h vs 89h), can be improved with dark mode
-with performance mode off, K980 performance isn't different from SD730G and SD is more stable
-i personally prefer ColorOs to EMUI

I bought my Nova 5t last week.
Everything is very good but one thing i have noticed.
There's a slight black/shadow on the top, bottom and side of the screen. Especially when in white background. Can someone tell me if this is normal or an issue? TIA

I had many situtations where i was writing some email on phone or reading some article and when battery ran out i just pluged in and like u said it needs less than 2 hour for full charge and ur good for next 12 hours.

Zaid zaid, 09 May 2020There is a Ir port in the phone Does it work? It is a proximity sensor. Not IR blaster. Apparently they cant put the proximity sensor on upper bezel, they moved it to top side and make it slightly leaning to the front side.

Since Huawei nova 5T doesn't have 3.5mm Jack how is the sound quality using type C to Jack 3.5mm adapter is it as good as using normal Jack 3.5mm?

You probably need to wipe your phone's cache partition
If you don't know how to do it, here's how
Turn off your phone, press and hold the power button and volume up button and the phone will go into recovery mode. Among the options, click on "wipe cache partition".
If you don't see that option then there's probably one called "Clear Data" click that and it'll take you to the "wipe cache partition" option. Now, be very careful when clicking the "wipe cache partition" option cuz the factory reset option is right next to it!
After all that click "Reboot system now".
Imo, everyone should wipe their phone's cache partition once every few months and after every update
