Huawei is trying very hard and pushed themselves into investing into multiple research and development. Huawei has been a victim of "America's free trade but only if they are winning" principle. To those people who are still crying about the lack of 5g on a huawei phones in 2023, maybe you should get a wifi and a phone or a desktop and start researching about it. But why can't Huawei just have 5g on their phones, to summarize it up, 5g uses a chip to support it and it is mostly supplied by American companies like Qualcomm, for example Qualcomm has released their X75 5g chip, of course American companies cannot work with Huawei so 5g on their smartphones are non - existant. But there are rumors that they have developed their own 5g chip using their own 7nm technology and it is not on test, so we could expect a Huawei Mate 60 series with 5g. For me 5g is still not as capable in 2023 for many number of reasons including:

1.) 5g is still relatively new compare to 4g, and even tho 5g has
been with us for some amount of time, it is still developing and many
parts in the world are still trying to fully implement 5g into their
system.
2.) 5g might be giving some extra boost to your data or internet
speed, but it also eats a lot of data.
3.) In some parts of the world 4g is even faster than 5g.
4.) 5g also heats up your phone and also uses a ton of your battery
percentage that you can use on many useful uses.
To summarize this up, 5g is not a must have technology in a phone, sure 5g should be a staple on phones that cost 100 euros and above, but its advantages are sometimes or always cannot offset its disadvantages. But again it always depends on the situations, some situations require 5g on your smartphone device, so don't buy a Huawei device, very simple.

Second is about huawei using old chipsets like the Snapdragon 870 on their mate pads, the Snapdragon 680 on their lower midrange phones, the Snapdragon 8+gen 1 for their flagship phones, and the Snapdragon 778g for their midrange and upper midrange phones. First of all this all have something to do with the US ban that was impose on 2019 by the TRUMP administration, a month after Huawei has surpassed Apple in the shipments of phones, base on some articles Huawei had shipped 1 million units more than Apple's and one month after that, the ban was imposed. Getting back at the chipset part, Huawei cannot produce their Kirin chips for a number of reasons, one is that many parts of the chip they made is ship from the US, and if the US does not want to ship the parts needed for the chip then Huawei will have to look at different suppliers which is Qualcomm. In order for Qualcomm to ship chips to Huawei, they must first get license to the US government to let them ship, otherwise they will have to use the last gen chip.

Third is Google, many people are whinning because for them "a phone without google is a useless phone" then if they think Huawei is useless then, stay away and shut their mouths up and go on using other phones, very simple. But for people who are asking why Huawei is banned from Google, here is a simple answer, the US banned huawei from working with US companies and I am sure all of you know that Google is an american company.

About the pricing of this phone, it always depends on the region, but I believe that this phone is cheaper than its samsung and apple counterparts, and I was shocked that in my country, the Huawei P60 Pro was priced the same as the Huawei Mate 50 Pro, when it was released.

So there you have it, to those people who are still questioning about 5g and the lack of 5g on huawei phones, the lack of Google Services on Huawei phones and the usage of old or last gen chips on Huawei Phones.

I have seen your comment before, and it is full of non sense, stating that "P60 Pro is equipped with a last year chipset and it cost more than 1000 euros". Bro come on are you serious, who on earth will be on the right mind to price a phone with a flagship processor at just 500 euros, sure there is xiaomi and other chinese brands, but the fact that they sacrifice the quality of the phone is one trade off.

Snapdragon 8+ gen 1, this chip is one of the optimize chip that has been released at its time, maybe you could have done some research before ranting about non sense kiddo. First of all why the Snapdragon 8+ gen 1, well you can ask the current US president about this, huawei cannot and I mean CANNOT obtain the latest chipset because of the jealousy of the US. Second, why huawei is blaming US for 5g reasons, I mean this question is the most obvious, 5g can be achievable by having a 5g chip, and that is something that many phone manufactures always rely on US companies like qualcomm and since the US is very jealous that huawei might overtake apple someday (which it did in 2019) the US allows qualcomm to ship chips to huawei but not the latest ones and certainly no 5g chip, huawei is currently developing its own 5g chip base on their 7nm architecture and this might be implemented on the huawei mate 60 pro and onwards, at that time the huawei mate 60 pro will have snapdragon 8 gen 2 because the latest qualcomm chipset will be the snapdragon 8 gen 3 but before huawei can get that, qualcomm must ask license to the US government if it would allow them to have 8 gen 2 chip, they must sure that huawei cannot overtake their pathetic apple, or should I say no security threat in order to allow qualcomm to ship this but ofcourse the 5g chip will be removed, so no x75 5g chip but huawei will just install their own 5g chip. Lastly, huawei phones are a downgrade, bro are you relying only on the fact that huawei just removed some phone features and other stuff like 10x optical zoom or 5x? Bro, the software is currently updated to support a steady 5x and a steady 10x without needing a literal lens to support that. Finally, here is my advice to you, maybe you have to research more before you type something here, you sound like an empty can, I doubt you even own a huawei phone at all and you know who is ridiculous here, no one but you for your ignorance and lack of research before typing and the US government for stating "freetrade" if only they are winning. I almost forgot, why there are so many people whinning about 5g, 4g is still capable, 5g just adds a tiny bit of strenght and speed to your mobile data on most countries and it is wasting your battery a big amount of percentage and lastly, on most countries 4g is much more advicable than 5g, get your facts right, go home, go to your laptop and try to research anything before you make a rant about things, your nickname suggest who you really are when it comes to smartphones.......

dahap, 13 May 2023Whats the type of the camera sensors Sony or Samsung or OV,... moreMain sensor is imx 888 1/1.43 inch. I am not sure about telephoto and ultrawide, but i think that telephoto camera is using ov64b 1/2 inch sensor. When it comes to the ultrawide camera, the only sensor I see that could be used is OV13B10 1/3.06 inch.

Maybe I would have bought this but how on earth did they let it come with the Snapdragon Gen 1? Everyone knows that CPU is the biggest pile of dung ever... Also the fact that it still has no 5G and they are still blaming it on USA is ridiculous.

I loved the P30 Pro. It was my favourite phone and all Huawei P-series have been a downgrade since then. When P40 phone released, they downgraded the camera on P30 pro. Removed the snap zoom, degraded quality etc. They wanted people to buy the P40 Pro... Each phone, non-standard resolution and less accessories and benefits.

The P30 Pro. I had underwater case for diving + many other accessories. P60 Pro seems to have none of this. They add variable aperture and say they are done with the phone.

If it had the Snap Gen 2. I'd be very interested, but the Gen 1 was arguably the worst CPU ever made, right next to Exynos 2200.

But the pretty obvious reason is phone quality, you see xiaomi has been known for creating cheap gaming phones, and this affects the quality of its parts, ofcourse they have to earn so they have to cut some corners on other parts like the main frame or the camera or the screen quality or the software support and optimization, remember xiaomi's UI the MIUI is really crappy and this UI has caused deadboot issues to some phones and another big thing is the camera, as you can see smartphones that have a much more powerful camera are tend to cost more than a phone that is more focused on gaming performance rather than camera and overall performance, xiaomi are typically known for creating flagship killer phones and lastly their software support is just 2 years of updates and 3 years of security patches but correct me if I am wrong at that part. There you have it

Albert08, 12 May 2023A question that I can't quite understand? Samsung s23... moreIf your question my friend is about the megapixels in the camera then, I would try to answer your question as best as I could. As for smartphone cameras, megapixels are the only factor that makes a camera powerful to take incredible photos, you should factor in the camera sensors (ex. Apple camera sensor, sony imx 766, omnivision ov64b), the camera software and camera algorithm, the phone processor itself and so much more. The reason why apple phones can take beautiful photos even tho their megapixel count is much lower is because of the software and the camera sensor itself. But remember that is the basics of why megapixel is not everything, correct me if I am wrong at some parts.
