Huawei P Smart (2019) in for review
Just last month, the Huawei P Smart (2019) became official last month and the device is already available at retailers in the UK and coming soon to other EU markets. The P Smart has been updated with a larger 6.2-inch display, newer generation Kirin 710, and a beefier 3,400 mAh battery pack.
Huawei kept the unibody but strayed away from a metal jacket, opting instead for a polycarbonate shell while improving the appearance of the phone. Our Sapphire Blue device has a beautiful gradient finish that fades from almost a teal blue at the top to a deep blue at the bottom.
On the front is a 6.21-inch IPS LCD screen with Full HD + resolution and a small dew-drop notch that houses an 8MP front-facing camera. Meanwhile, the main camera is equipped with a 13MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture lens paired with a secondary 2MP depth sensor for portraits. The Kirin 710 powers the AI camera and comes with Android Pie 9.0 out of the box.
The P Smart is available from EE in the UK for £149 and €250 in select European markets.
The Honor 10 Lite is quite similar in specs and appearance, but the paint finishes are different and each device serves different markets. As we begin our review process, what do you want to know about the new Huawei P Smart? Stick around for the full review.
