My review of the P smart 2021, used for a full year before upgrading to the Xiaomi 11T
First of all the phone does not have Google services which already is a disadvantage. The display can get pretty bright, not gonna lie but it isn't enough brightness for it to be exposed to broad daylight; The display can be seen properly indoors or in lower light, since the viewing angles suffer and its not very bright in broad daylight
The haptics for the keyboard doesn't really exist. It won't let me and the only one that I could turn on was to vibrate the navigation keys. It is quite aggressive or so. When it comes to vibrate on touch, not a soft reassuring vibration but I'll cut it some slack since this launched at 200 dollars, avaliable for like 160/150
Performance, the chip has decent performance overall unless it is related to heavy tasks like gaming. I tested gaming on some applications, since call of duty mobile didn't work, but I noticed that there would be fps drops and also, quite a lot of lag and it would get warm. It gets hot while charging, The phones gaming capabilities would be consistently poor if you were to play on max graphics on some game's that require a lot of processing
At its best for me this phone on antutu benchmark 3d lite had a score of 190,000, usually at 160,000 but now for the cameras
The phones camera quality is quite decent with a lot of light, However it has a significant weakness that will be noticable: dynamic range. The selfie camera feels quite unusable, dynamic range also just tanks and drops whne using portrait mode on the selfie cam. You can see grain and they are usable but noticably average or below average in quality for most people. The main camera has better dynamic range than the selfie camera that has horrific dynamic range but the main camera seems to have a fixed focus at the center, when zooming in you will see the center is detailed and sharp, while going away from the center you will notice softness and not so detailed parts. If you try to focus on the dark parts tho, the dynamic range once again drops and I would prefer a more natural bluish sky but most of the time it feels quite processed
In low light the photos definitely feel like in the camp of "brighter for the sake of being brighter", but however there's grain, not a lot ofdetail and once again poor dynamic range. When it comes to this phone when it comes to low light performance it is consistently poor in detail
Speakers have noticeable distortion at their maximum, the fingerprint scanner is decent and quite fast.
The video watching experience takes a hit since the phone has no Google applications you will have to search up a different app or maybe knock offs of youtube
The screen glass scratches easily for me, there are multiple scratches at level 5 and deeper ones at a level 6, so I put a screen protector. A razor blade can scratch the screen a bit so you should get a screen protector.
The phones has a plastic frame and a back that imitates glass but is made out of plastic. The phone is also quite thick.
Battery life however is not a weakness, one of its strengths in fact and I have finished days with 40 percent left, my verdict is that there are better devices at this price point
The phone for my area costs 160 dollars, I recommend buying Poco M3 or Redmi 9T instead since they have Google services and they have quite better photos. Or, the Redmi note 11 if you spend more, if you spend even more tho get the Redmi note 11s

Got this as a replacement to a Y9 Prime 2019, which was an all-rounder.
For a great UX, one needs to exhibit a developer persona. Loading apps which are Google based is a definite problem, because it was designed to run without Google Services. So, I have learnt to explore new apps that deliver the same as I had on Google Services. It's a daunting task, but since I had it, the journey is one you'd have to be adventurous. Most APKs will not run properly, but keep on fishing for ones that work. The battery is awesome, and complemented by super-fast charging if you have battery draining apps.

The phone is a bit slow to download compared to other huawei phone. I don't know if the problem is with the processor.

I have used the phone and let me tell you, I don't recommend buying this phone;
The phone itself can get very hot while charging (Antutu Benchmark recorded it can get as hot as up to 52°C), It lags quite a lot, I used the phone starting from February 6th, 2021, and bought a new phone by January 1st, 2022 which is approximately 329 days.
A few months before buying a new phone, I went to a Huawei store, checking out the phones when they told me they could give google services so I went hey, why not give them my phone for a sec so that I can have google play services? They inserted some hard drive I think that downloaded an app called google space, Setting it up was such a hassle though, so I just decided to buy a new phone, Also I did not see the deal of having extra steps to access youtube and my apps which was actually quite frustrating cause google space kept crashing.
I don't recommend buying this phone, for those on a tight budget like when I bought this phone, I suggest buying the Realme 6 or the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S

Just read many have founded on YouTube all tutorials to install and use Google also here, I'm sure you will find it.

I use Gmb and and in my business sovety dissapointed and would love to get out of this contract... But I now I'm stuck can't wait to get a Samsung or any other phone never again will Huawei see me.

Asides from annoying google, have they by any chance got on the wrong side of LG too??? We had 2 psmart 2019's previously and they wirelessly project to my large screen LG tv just fine, still do, but the 2021's don't even see the TV when searching in wireless projection set up....unless somebody has a fix/it's just me being daft??
