Base Pura 70 is more comparable to Edge 50 Pro. Although Huawei camera software, even despite listed issues, usually far greater than others, especially metering and postprocessing.

Pura 70 Pro cost 925 euro here with base gift as Fit 2. Fit 3 option - +10 euro. Watch GT4 - +50 euro. Was cheaper on preorder.

Forgot to note one important thing. Even though Pura 70 is too large to operate one hand, it's still feels very solid in hand thank to flat sides.

I don't know how much is enough. But in Russia there is Yandex Keyboard by default, which has an option from 1 to 100 ms of vibration. 100 ms is definitely pretty much heavy and loud. 50 ms very well noticeable for me.

          But what I would note also about codecs. It does have VP9 hardware decoder. But it doesn't have AV1 hardware decoder and VP9 with AV1 hardware encoders. Those are only software. Hardware decoders are AVC, HEVC, MPEG2, VP9. Hardware encoders are AVC and HEVC.

          Also Camera app is making JPEG images only. HD+ option see to be doing nothing.

          So with future GPUs they have to address it as well. A cameraphone just should be able to encode videos with AV1 and pictures with JPEG-XL.

            Same applies to main camera. Camera app can do 50 Mp in Highres mode, but other apps only getting 41.7 Mp. I hope it doesn't do upscale before downscaling it 4 times.

            Because it surely does it with telephoto camera. Camera app is making 4096x3072 135 mm image. While full readout is 4000x3000 at 125.1 mm with noticeably wider angle. So it's taking 4000x3000 picture at 125.1 mm, then crops it to 3707x2780 and then upscales it to 4096x3072. That upscale is disproportional. And while it's making good pictures, they could have been much sharper, if it wouldn't do that. All for the sake of exact 5x zoom.
            Instead, when switching to telephoto, it should do 4000x3000 pictures at 125.1 mm with native pixel to pixel readout. If anyone needs to fine tune zooming, then they could easily do that using zoom slider.

            Just don't call it - "W 1x 2x 5x 10x". Instead do - "W 1x 2x T Tx2" or "W Mx1 Mx2 Tx1 Tx2", if you don't want to lie about 5x and 10x.

            Also, after recent update (14.2.0.161) Night Mode is broken. Although, change log said it's about improving Night Mode. But almost every picture made with Night Mode is now pink or green. As well as green tint on telephoto while making videos in dark conditions.

            I hope they will address those issues.

                                        Picture quality of wide angle camera is actually a bit better than P30. Although, it's not close to main camera and still bad in the night. Even base model of camera phone line up should have decent ultra wide angle camera.

                                        But optical resolution is a downgrade. With P30 I could see subpixels on a screen. With P70 subpixels aren't visible. I used ultra wide angle camera a lot a magnifier to see inside small and dark things, like USB and other ports. I still can see in close ups things like almost invisible text and PCB details etc. This is doing very well, magnifying almost invisible letters up to entire screen. But looking deeper it's just not enough.

                                        As an urban reporter I also use it a lot for urban photo. And it's just has to be better. It needs to improve for better light sensitivity - larger sensor, larger resolution and better optics to use that resolution. No, I'm not talking about inch-size sensor. Obviously, it won't fit into 147x70 mm form factor and would be expensive. But still not as small as this one.

                                        Main camera is all the way better than P30 with noticeably wider dynamic range. Telephoto - completely outblowing P30. Capable of even doing night photos.

                                        What else impresses is the screen. Can't even find words to express how well BOE evoluted with OLEDS. There is no more than slightly greenish tint. I use vivid profile with correction all the way to the right on the middle (at 3 o'clock). And it looks amazing. So neutral white.

                                        I don't mind if 147x70 won't fit that large battery. 4000 mAh bettery would be enough, just make less power hungry SoC. Base model is not for gaming, so 6 core (2+4) and little less powerful GPU made with SMIC N+3 would be fine. What is important is more powerful IPU. They need to innovate ahead of their time, like Panasonic did with GH5. So they need something powerful enough to make 8K60 AV1/VP9 possible. And even on base models. This is the cameraphone line up after all.

                                        I tried NM card, but no luck. Wouldn't see it. They need to keep pushing. Further into middle and budget. Even Lexar is doing NM cards now. And make a newer faster class.
