i would likely have bought had
it come with another ip 66 and

& would have bought it immediately
if there were ip66+ip68+ip69+ip69k

i could live with the 5170 mah battery and the
chipset which i believe is still capable enough
!
now that there s a dual periscope telephoto technology
then it should be somewhere the huawei p100ultra and
the huawei p110ultra to deliver a 15-20 x optical zooms
!
and a 30-50 x optical zoom should be applicable
some where in the hua wei 120ultra or p130ultra
and by that time i hope there s 300 - 500x digital
zooms & believe me that it will inevitably happen
!

Well, something that I realized today: Huawei camera app DOES NOT support 16:9 aspect ratio for photos!!! There's a community discussion on Huawei website dated 6 years ago requesting this feature! Unbelievable.
Besides, Huawei Camera app is much simpler and inferior to Xiaomi's app (especially after HyperOS 2.x update), I could live with few missing options, but 16:9? Come on, Huawei, you cannot be serious.
Shame this is not even mentioned in reviews of their flagships.

I played with the phone today in the store for around 12 minutes, took 27 photos and recorded 1.5 min 4k video. The phone become noticeably warm. During the same period, I took 44 photos and same video with my Xiaomi 14 Ultra, and it was practically cool (warm from my hands mostly). It's a shame it has slower CPU, this is likely the only reason why HP80U lacks 8k video rec, as well. The cameras are beasts.
