Picked one up yesterday and loving the screen ratio. Google service installed by Easyaboard. Definitely not a primary phone but for a secondary is great.

Come on Huawei.... where's the Global version of the Pura X? I just found out about this phone and I am in LOVE with this form factor/size. I have been looking to switch from my iPhone 15 Pro Max to some Android. So far was considering the Galaxy S24 Ultra (cheaper, and apparently the cameras are better than the S25 Ultra), but today I discovered this... but it's only available in China.

The point of the Pura IS the quasi square 4:3 form factor.

Why can't Honor make a 16:9 version of this with a slightly larger 6.6" 2K ? Or maybe a 18.5:9 7" panel which strikes a perfect balance between the normal 16:9 & the 21:9 made for films. The 18.5:9 panels are neither prone to typo errors nor in landscape mode, the typing space doesn't disappear. The battery would be larger as well. They could add a telephoto sensor.
Instead they choose 20:9 panels which suffer from both of the above problems.

Amazing idea. The phones should be wider when unfolded for typing and content consumption.
Is Honor going to release something like this with bigger battery and Android? Can't wait

i gave in after waiting for 6 months. no global version nor any other brands seem to follow this body or size yet.
using for about 2 weeks really in love with it. google meta WA apps can use thru easyaboad gbox etc. notifications stuck sometimes thou. hope they can upgrade n imrove soon.

Great phone, I can get about 60% of the apps I want to work, most other things through the browser. Biggest issue is keyboard which I can't replace. Predictive text works with native apps but not Android apps. Best work around is to use the voice typing
