I bought the same VMX package, through Dick smith. I have since spent 1hr on the phone with Virgin trying to set up my email account (hotmail), to the point where they just hung up on me! I have also had trouble downloading music. It doesn't download to the music folder, only to the micro sd card, and then it won't play saying, file type not recognised. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i bought this phone recently and i find it a nice thin modern phone that looks great. it is good for people on the go.
the downside is that the sound is way too low. and it is sometimes a bit slow

Bought this phone from dick smith for $40. It was called the "Optus U1200"
My expectation where quiet low considering the cost of this phone. However I am quiet impressed with the features offered by such a cheap phone. It is even very good for facebook and twitter when using the application "Snaptu".
Just to let you know in the back of the phone it says that it is a huawei U1251 so I guess it is a slightly different model.
Great phone considering the asking price but dont expect to much from this phone.

Nice phone, easy to use and the pc suite helped me clean up my adressbook.
also try taking photos in panorama =)
the volume is to low even on highest.
would be nice with WLAN and Radio but i can manage without it.
Anyone tried adding music with a microSD card reader/writer?

Hi There.
I am going to buy this phone but the one I am going to buy is the "Optus U1200" but it is still the same phone.
I was just wondering does anybody know if the java application "snaptu" work on this phone?
It is a free download from this website www.snaptu.com/
If some one could try it or let me know if it works would be great :)

Anonymous, 01 Mar 2010is there a way to put music on there without using pc suitenot the phone coz i love it,but the last time i bought a pre_paid credit 2 recharge'n it doesn't n it not working on many internet webs faster like google n face book.i realy love coz it so cheaper 2 buy n so strong,the last time it fell on our floor n i took it up it still working.i love it n thanks 2 u 4 making such a beautiful like this....for the mucis downloading coz it my fault..bye

to get a better and faster gprs-search-machine in your phone, try to download: Opera mini ,at: m.opera.com ,and save it on the game-section

well, compare to motorola ve538, it has a better 2mp camera,better user interface,and i agree that the connection was to slow for a 3g phone. good works for huawei,hope to see another affordable 3g phone in indonesia

Bought this phone is Australia as the Virgin Mobile VMX. Fantastic phone for AU $39 with a plethora of useful features (3G, 3.5mm jack and MicroSD reader), well thought out menus and music player. However, scrolling through complex web pages is painfully slow and PC software stored in phone's memory isn't compatible with Windows 7. Also, competibility with video formats is patchy at best (can't stream from youtube).

I find the phone is difficult to use and is not easily layed out. It is difficult to use import music to and the volume on the mp3 or radio is too low.

The 3G componet is very slow, 1/20 speed of my ZTE T6 and I really notice just how loooong it takes to open a page with a few pics. Lucky I have a fast phone for internet use, otherwise it is a very handy phone. I like the way the drivers & programs are embedded in the phone.

Well, the thone in general is interesting but speed is a concern! I have a SonyEricsson k770i too anda comparing the booth, in a scale of 10 the, the k770i has 8 and the u1250 5 points.
The 3G, what I have to say, is not good and not bad. I mean, it should have a front camera, don't you think?
Text message is very good. I love it.
PS: there is no Theme available online for it.
