Hi,can anybody tell me is Huawei U8150 good for internet browsing,a heavy-duty internet surfing phone,if not please suggest me which one is better for internet like desktop pc.

Could be a good phone if only the makers would have supplied a better operating manuel. Real slack only supplying a quick start guide that has no real information at all. Not impressed.

Anonymous, 19 Jun 2011no u cannot use it as a modem....but u can use it with wi-fiyou can
download and install "Microsoft ActiveSync" then attach ur cell phone via USB Cable. Now on your cell phone, go to "settings" --> "Tether & portable hotspot" --> "USB" tethering" enable this. now u can use internet on your PC.

How can i transfer files? There is no option for sending

For those who have this phone and is under contract to some telecom companies, wherein, the phone is NETWORK locked (can only use the telecom's SIM card). Could you try this method in unlocking, here's the link:

It is for HTC, but I think it is possible because the process uses Android Froyo commands. And Ideos has this same OS.
Please post if it is not possible or not.

Looking at the Spec of HUWAEI U8150 IDEOS was very impressive compared to my LG GT540 but after I got it these are what Ive found!
Internal Memory Total = 200 MB BUT ACTUAL is just 166.62MB
RAM Specification is 256MB BUT ACTUAL TOTAL is just 178MB
ROM Specification is 512MB ??????
528 MHz ARM 11 processor, Adreno 200 GPU, Qualcomm MSM7225 chipset BUT Looks like there is no Andreno 200 GPU for this unit!!!!!
I don't know if there's apps that will boast up those stuff to what the spec said but for now, I really don't know!
