This is a great phone. Works well, a lot of storage space. Battery is excellent, camera is decent.
Only con is that it doesn't have the Play Store and apps that go with it, such as Google Maps or even Youtube.
You can use some of these apps by downloading it from third party (Use Petal Search) or logging in from Browser/Chrome. App Gallery has a few of the most popular apps, e. g. Tiktok and Snapchat. Certain apps aren't available third party or don't work once you go in it. But I haven't really had a struggle, if you get used to it it works well.
Also can't click on any app links from third party apps.

I've had to use Snapchat to ge... moreyou're absolutely right, I wouldn't recommand it to anyone, mainly for inconveniences like the lack of google services, microUSB, wifi n, 720p display. even at its time march 2020, competitors like xiaomi have better speced phones at about same price.
only thing I'm saying is, if you happen to have this phone, it's not that bad like people make it seem,

The camera is not good. I've had to use Snapchat to get decent photos. It comes with a micro USB in 2020 and takes too long to charge. The chip is the same chip from the p30 lite, it's just been rebranded. Also without Google play services, it's difficult to use and Huawei has not helped whatsoever like they said they would. it's a snappy phone with lags here and there however I wouldn't recommend it. At this point you should rather purchase a Samsung A series

1).downgrade your phone if its in a newer version.
2).after downgrade and phone is reset, set up your phone without connecting it to internet, and disable auto update system and auto download updates over wifi.
3).now you can use wifi, install googlefier and follow steps to install gms, yt video "system hacks googlefier"
4).after installing gms, and all apps, charge your phone to 80% and let the phone in iddle for 1 day, so that the system calibrates the battery,
5).(optional)install native call recorder app by huawei, yt video "system hacks huawei call recorder"
6).enjoy.
Notes (from experience):
dont use twin app ever, because it screws gms installation, twin app allows you to use say 2 whatsapp account by creating twin version of app, but it doesnt work, you gonna be bombarded with notifications saying google play protect not certified ... bla bla... and screws gms installation, meaning play store stops working.

I bought this phone august 2020 new, and I've been using it since then as my personal work phone, and I have nothing but good things to say about this phone Y7p. battery life is amazing, display has natural colors, camera does good job (pro mode can do some amazing things, especialy near pitch black and astrophotography), the software EMUI 10.1.0.112 is the best, stable,clean,reliable,and extremely power efficient.
you CAN install google services on Y7p running EMUI 10.1.0.112 or below, you can search on youtube "system hacks googlefier" and you can follow how to install google services on your phone, that is if you havent updated your phone.
If your phone is updated to latest version, you then need to downgrade your phone using dload method, you can search on youtube "system hacks dload" and you can follow the downgrade method, but you need to have the firmware downgrade file that is compatible with your phone. just for reassurance, I once did the mistake of updating my phone to newer version, the when I reset my phone and tried to install gms, I couldnt and then I downgraded and never updated since then.
also you mentioned the battery not calibrated, you can go to Settings>Battery>Power cunsumption details and see whats causing the battery to drain and go crazy.

I installed Google... moreOk mate then please let us know this ph by using your experience...I'm regular Huawei user since 9/10 years just bought Huawei Y7p yesterday i've few questions will appreciate if you could help me with these...1st of all i've quite wired issue while downloading aaps like we use to downloading in Play Store...Just tried to download 3 common apps like Facebook, Whatsaap & Youtube haven't got Facebook it comes with error which is quite a weird thing i guess but done with the rest of 2 apps and the most important of all i guess because play store isn't affiliated with Huawei anymore so through app gallery apps and other functions are way more tricky to get i mean interface or procedure is not user friendly it's much complicated and the worse thing of all is you can't get all the common apps through your aap gallery for that either you need to install many other different sources to get these apps...The 2nd big problem is with my Huawei Y7p is having battery issue after purchasing charged my phone to 100% used it for around an hour or so in this time app gallery asks for software update beacuse of this ph asks to restarts 2 times once it get it done 100% and secondly after a few min's after doing all tjis my battery reaches 83% after that slept and shocked to see that at night my battery was on 63% in morning on idel and locked position without using battery coconsumes 20% of it's battery and after locking my phone to idle position checked it after 20/25 min now battery shows 68 % that is quite a weird thing of all i'm much concerned about these things cammera, display and all other things gone secondary for me rite now so what do you say plaese need your opinion on this will be waiting for your reply thanks.

After updating my Huawei app gallery, I could not login anymore. Each time I try to do so, I kept getting login failure. Can someone help?

This phone works perfectly fine...i also mananged to install Google services ams everythin is working good....the battery life is good to.....gaming is top notch no complaints.........as soon as u install Google services then u will see tht its a very good phone

Processor speed and battery life are good but camera and other features are very bad. totally disappointed with y7p experience.
