Huawei's HarmonyOS reaches 120M devices, internal beta 2 now out for P10
Huawei's HarmonyOS now runs on more than 120 million devices, as per Huawei's COO, He Gang. The OS adoption is reportedly exceeding Huawei's expectations and it's now raised its target from 300 million to 400 million by the end of 2022.
HarmonyOS will target many older Huawei and Honor devices.
Meanwhile HarmonyOS 2's internal beta is now out for 10 new devices - the Huawei P10, P10 Plus, Mate 9, Mate 9 Pro, Mate 9 Porsche Design, nova 3, Enjoy 9 Plus, Tablet M5 10.8-inch, M5 Pro 10.8-inch and M5 8.4-inch.
As with most updates Huawei has a few warnings. Chief among them is that some apps wouldn't work properly under HarmonyOS. Devices enrolled in the beta should check for the new firmware under Settings > System > Software Update.
