Would anyone tell me how i am going to use Skype now that Skype introduced 2.2 version. Before I use to make calls on my JasJam with Skype and now the new version is not supported.

This mobile/pda is totaly waste of time and money. Me and all my colleagues has used it for 8 months, we were the launch testers for middle east. And only i can say DON'T buy it.

one of our business's jasjam has lost all sound, settings appear to be okay can anyone help please?

Imate jasjam is not GSM850 rather WCDMA 850.

im always having a problem with the signal from time to time i have to reset it pls help me there's no problem on my simcard its new

love my jasjam but we seem to have some relationship issues at the moment with the damn thing turning itself off whenever it pleases? very anoying! it shouldnt be the battery coz it aint that old so any ideas what the problem could be??? xx

can anyone tell me if you can change the shortcuts 'calender' and 'contacts' soft keys on the today screen. please help!!!

This is further to my posting of 14.07.2007.
I-Mate has since given me a replacement. So far so good.
However the NEW ONE ALSO has the same problems. I am going to try the phone without any software installed, to see if the Ringer problem is not there.
But would anyone want to invest in a Pocket PC costing 20K to 40K if they can't install any extra software without inviting trouble? Where is the charm and money's worth?

love jasjam but has anyone had any trouble regarding sound? husband and i have one each both have same settings all of a sudden no sound from one at all - help!

There can be no worst phone than this on this planet. Its not even worth of 10$ but its unfornately tagged @800. Why do you make such painful phones.

I work in the mobile industry and have to say this is by far the worst and most unreliable handset i have ever sold. We must have atleast 4 a week coming back to store for refunds or repairs even after software upgrades the problems still occur. I would NEVER recommend this handset to anyone wanting a PDA. Great idea in theroy but an allround terribly unreliable handset

Theoretically a very good PPC Phone.
I have been facing two severe problems:
1. Ringer often stops ringing. Have to do soft-rest to make it work again.
2. Sluggish. Hangs often.
Have been representing to iMate since Jan'07 (bought it in Oct'06).
Had issues with touchscreen too, but was sorted out by iMate two months ago.
Expecting replacement piece (new?) on Monday; hopefully iMate would keep its word.

I installed skype on my JasJam but I can only do text chats on it, If I try and do a voice call it trys to dial then after about 15 secs skype shuts down back to the login screen.
Has anyone managed to get voice chats going on a JasJam, if you have what version of Skype did you use, I installed Skype for mobile version 2.2
Apart from that the Jasjam is the best thing I've ever bought - I can read an ebook and listen to music at the same time, Its GREAT !!

I need to get skype on my i-mate tho, I have no landline to do IDD calls to call my Dad in Croatia. Where do I get download Skype from so I can call my Dad, I'm in Australia. I don't want to pay a fortune to call him on mobile phone rates! How do I get it working on my i-mate? Please even email me if you can give more info. Tah.

I luv my i-mate jas jam. I think it's the best investment for a phone I'll ever make on my phone plan, because of the email & internet facility. I was going for a business proposal-my laptop was out of order couldn't email my info, where as my i-mate saved the day as I was able to email my info from my i-mate. On Telstra next g network now having Foxtel the huge i-mate screen's great for watching foxtel like on a tv! I can take shopping photos eg for furniture for insurance & email them to my inbox to store photos of things to be insured. I think i-mate's brilliant! Ingenious! Best phone I ever had. I love how my screen savers/wallpaper photos look on it.

I actually got the Skype working at my friends house. They have WLAN using Paradise as their service provider. Maybe Telecom has got block for Skype on their Wireless APs? Need to do more testing...

I'm just about to buy a jasjam...
What version of skype can run on jasjam,
On the download for skype i-mate jasjam is not listed and in the skype faq for 2.2 it says that only text chat is supported in skype for jasjam.
Does anyone have 2.2 running on a jasjam for voice calls and can you do video calls as well ?

yes , it supports skype, and i have use it in UK and in Egypt, no problem in that.
btw, the battery sucks :(
