    Hi There,

I own a JASJAR, since September 2005 and bought it for my on the road IT services and I have to say it's a great device.
I use the JASJAR, to access different kind of servers, e.g. Citrix, Terminal Services, SSH Linux, AS400, VNC, Telnet, Network Browser to mount shares locally on the JASJAR and printing to network printer on the network.
All these services works great when I'm connected at work to the corporate wi-fi network, but I have a challenge with the VPN connection on the JASJAR on a public wi-fi hotspot.
For instance every time I tried to connect to the Citrix server at work using the VPN connection it drops the connection immediately and start connecting through GPRS.
I don't know why, I tried many different options, but couldn't solve it. Any help would be great.

This jasjar is great! Have had it for 3 months and don't need to take a notebook with me anymore! I work in IT support and with Term services, vpn's, citrix client, etc plus Vodafones 3g , it's as if I'm at the customers site. It's never let me down - sync, etc is fine. Wireless is great. Took me a bit of time to work out best settings, etc and how it works to get most from it. - Downloaded Netfront browser, and Operas new browser. I can easily have multiple browser windows open on this, plus other stuff just like a PC. While travelling and flying, doing my invoicing, watch DVD's I've copied to sd card, etc. And keyboard is excellent. With bluetooth headset/LCD can make and get calls without toucjhing teh jasjar. All in all- can't ask for much more than that. My IBM thinlpad now stays on the kitchen table at home...

I see a lot of people are discontent with their jasjars. First of all let me tell you that this phone WAS NOT designed for people who just want to make a call to there friend and talk for a couple of hours.

I have owned this phone for almost 5 months now and I recently switched to the Motorola A780. For a smartphone the jasjar does its thing. The best features being WIFI. I have routed my IMAP AOL mail and pop3 yahoo to this phone. It works like a charm.

The battery life isn't the greatest. But thats the sacrafice you make to have a phone that does so much. I have this on a cingular plan. I did one of those 9.99 add a lines and added unlimited data.

It's a great second phone but not a primary. The reason why I switched to the a780 was because I realized I didn't use all the features of the phone. My needs were just a phone that does imap, pop3 and a basic pda functions. I never really used the wifi cause I would rather use my laptop.

So far I did not have anoy problem with it except the battery consumption. Mine does not last more then 8 hours and it takes about 2-3 hours to recharge. So far, its an awesome technology :)

                              Hi Pals!
I 've serious problem with the my I-Mat Jas-Jar regarding synchronization each time I connect it with both desk & laptops. Each time I 've to unistall and re-install b4 I can synchronize. I have tried even 4.1 active-sync software but to no soccur!
Can anybody send me how to resolve this insistence problem. Is this problem peculiar with me only or is a general problem?

Try before your buy. if i did, i wouldn't have bought one. there are better value for money devices out there.

It's not very good as a phone, with the bad reception it gives (compared to other phones).. But an excellent PDA!!! Camera could have been better (1.3 mega pixel?), at least 2 mega pixel would have made me happy (for the price you pay)!!!
