IDC: Chinese tablet shipments will sink 30% in Q1 2020 due to coronavirus

The COVID-19 will likely affect the whole first half of this year as well, but the decline will slow down to 14% in Q2 2020. In addition to the lower demand, the insufficient supply is also contributing to the decline. Supply chains can't deliver and even the few customers who want to buy a tablet can't get them.

But it's not all bad. IDC says that this is also a new opportunity for some OEMs. With users around the world working, learning and teaching from home, the demand for electronic devices will probably rise.
