IDC: HMD Global tops feature phone market for Q3

HMD Global, the company that is in charge of manufacturing Nokia phones, announced it secured the top spot in the feature phone market for Q3 2023, according to the latest analysis by IDC. The detailed breakdown wasn't shared by either the maker or the analyst company, but HMD holds a 30.7% market share by value and 22.4% by volume, marking an increase from the previous three-month period.

HMD said four key factors contributed to Nokia’s success. The first is feature phones with UPI (Unified Payments Interface) integration, which enhanced functionality and enabled secure digital transactions.

The company also went for a refresh of its hero models with new designs and vibrant colors. The list includes the Nokia 105 2022, Nokia 110, Nokia 110 4G, Nokia XpressAudio, and Nokia 2660 Flip.

An HMD Global spokesperson said the company plans to build upon these achievements and keep its leading spot in the feature phone market.

For my self I got feature phone as work device, because smartphones break quite quickly. Yes, as my personal phones I got Asus ROG7 as daily phone and Iphone 12 as second one

I agree to original opinion and don't agree with You that this phone is crap. This or any Nokia smartphone is low in specs, but they are way cheaper than others and don't include bloatware like others, so with cheap price, lowspecs, they ru...

Dear HMD Global (Nokia) Please change your charging port to Type C. This is 2023 and your are still fooling your customers around. Almost all Wireless and TWS headphones are Type C. Why can't you ?
