IFA will be open to journalists, but not to general public
Earlier this year, the organizers of the annual IFA event in Berlin announced it will not be held in a traditional manner due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Now they have provided more details about the event that will take place on September 3-5.
The good news is that the forum will be held in Berlin as usual despite the ban of events gathering more than 5,000 people until October 24 as per local laws. There will be four main events spread across three days and each event will hold up to 1,000 people.
Only people with invites can enter and the event won't be open for the public. The organizers said that all the rules at the event are made with people's safety in mind. The local authorities will be helping on site to ensure that social distancing, crowd management and public hygiene are maintained.
