Infinix Hot 40i to launch in India on February 16

Infinix will be launching its budget Hot 40i smartphone in India on February 16. The smartphone will be sold through Flipkart, which has currently setup a 'coming soon' landing page for the device.

The Hot 40i features a 6.56-inch, 1612 x 720 IPS LCD with up to 90Hz refresh rate. The phone runs on the Unisoc T606 with an octa-core CPU and Mali-G57 MP1 GPU. The phone features up to 256GB of storage space with additional 2TB supported through the microSD expansion.

Infinix is advertising 16GB memory on the device, claiming it to be the highest in its price class. However, it's worth noting that only 8GB of this is physical system memory and the remaining 8GB is virtual memory by allocating space on the storage.

Other features include a 50MP main camera on the back, a 32MP selfie camera, 5000mAh battery, and 18W charging.

The phone is expected to be available under INR 9000 when it goes on sale later this month.
