August's last week is now over and as we look on to September, our top stories were the unveil dates of the Apple iPhone 16 series and the Infinix Hot 50 5G.

Infinix's slimmest and most reliable 5G smartphone" will be announced on September 5. Apple's quartet of the iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max will debut on September 10, likely alongside the new Apple Watch and Watch Ultra, and new AirPods.

Samsung's Galaxy S25 Ultra is touted as thinner and lighter than the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. That means it will be less than 221 grams, while the S24 Ultra is 232 grams.

Tecno unveiled the Phantom Ultimate 2 tri-fold concept phone. The phone starts at 6.48-inch and expands to a 10-inch 4:3 aspect display. Tecno did not reveal exact plans for launching its first tri-fold device just yet, but it sure is an exciting first look at the future of the foldable market.

We saw what's most likely a dummy iPhone 16 Pro Max in Desert Titanium in a hands-on video. Whether that's the new color Apple is rumored to bring or a more Gold-like one is something we're yet to see.

A lot of companies have prototypes now. Huawei is probably going to be the first to market, but other companies like Xiaomi, Tecno, Samsung, TCL and Oppo have their own prototypes.

Exciting to see the iPhone 16 series and Samsung's S25 Ultra soon! Also, Tecno's tri-fold concept is a cool innovation. Can't wait for all these releases
