          What is a better choice?
          1) Buying an entry level android phone with $75 and use it for 2.5 year?
          2) Buying an mid range android phone with $150 and use it for 5 year?

There is absolutely no difference between the smart 8 and the smart 8 hd. I honestly don't know why not Infinix will do something like this. I am not surprised, as this is not the first time and it definitely won't be the last time.

"these phones have ads and pre-installed bloatware"

I'm wondering since the GT 10 Pro doesn't have any pre installed bloatware, then how can the phone priced below its segment? Are there any different approach for them to reduce the pricing? Or they gain very little profit from the product?

Baldilocks73, 13 Dec 2023And the iPhone 15 is superior in every way.Its also over 10 times the price of this so they still have a valid point. You are right though it is a better device, i think this device just proves how pointless the devices nokia make are.

Hzzif, 08 Dec 2023Getting a 90hz display, large 5000mAh battery and UFS 2.2 s... moreThey are cheap for a reason.
Those components that you mention are available in different grades. Lower grades, sometimes rejects from higher grade QC, are sold for cheap, and OEMs like Infinix get those.

Also, these phones have ads and pre-installed bloatware. Just like Windows PCs, the OEM get some subsidy from those companies pushing the ads and bloatware. That's also another way they can price this very cheap.
