iPhone 16 and 16 Plus get price cuts, the 16 Pro is axed

With the iPhone 17 lineup now official, Apple has discontinued select older models while reducing prices on others.

The iPhone lineup starts with the iPhone 16e. Apple will also sell the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, but the company has discontinued the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max.

iPhone 16 and 16 Plus get price cuts, the 16 Pro is axed

iPhone 16 and 16 Plus have also received a price cut. The iPhone 16 is now only available with 128GB storage and costs $699. Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 Plus with 128GB storage is priced at $799 and the 256GB variant will set you back $799.

Apple unveiled the new iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max at the ‘Awe Dropping’ event yesterday. For the first time, all new iPhone models now offer a 120Hz display. The phones also bring camera improvements, new design, and new selfie cameras.

Apple has been discontinuing the Pro/Pro Max lineup yearly since the introduction of the iPhone X. Nothing new.
