iQOO 9T arrives with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and V1+ chip
The iQOO 9T smartphone is now official in India with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. It also has a vivo V1+ display chip that allows real-time extreme night vision.
The new phone by the vivo sub-brand inherits a lot from the iQOO 9 Pro, including the 6.78” E5 AMOLED screen. It has a 120 Hz refresh rate and 360 Hz touch sampling rate. There is a supersonic fingerprint scanner underneath.
On the back, we have a rectangular island, housing the trio of cameras - 50MP main with Samsung GN5 sensor and OIS, 13 MP ultrawide and 12MP telephoto units.
The iQOO 9T offers a vapor chamber liquid cooling system with a 3,930 sq. mm. area, which promises great heat dissipation and proper cooling of the device under prolonged heavy usage.
The internals of the phone pack dual X-Axis linear motor on the top and bottom side (left and right when held horizontally) for proper haptics and gaming experience, and there are also dual stereo speakers.
The Vivo V1+ chip already debuted in the vivo X80 Pro, but this is the first time it makes its way to an iQOO device. It brings enhanced noise reduction and motion estimation motion compensation technology known in TVs as the Soap Opera effect. It is also used for a preview of photos while shooting in Night mode. It did really well on theX80 Pro and we have no reason to expect anything different on the iQOO 9T.
Another feature the iQOO 9T got from its 9 series predecessors is the 4,700 mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging. We already established the 8-minute claim from 0 to 50% to be correct, and the battery fills up in 20 minutes, so we are pretty confident this will be the case with the 9T as well.
The iQOO 9T has two color versions - Legend with the BMW M Motorsport stripe and colors and a plain black version called Alpha. It is priced at INR49,999 (8/128 GB) or INR54,999 (12/256 GB) and early birds will receive a free iQOO Gamepad that is worth INR3,999 when sold separately. Sales are open up on iQOO's online store in India, while Amazon will start selling it on August 4.
