Hope best for the Tablet Sailfish UI, hope it retains the transparency and provides much more in terms of features and customizations

Jolla tablet. 99 percent likely that it will be open hardware. Thus gsm, etc. Software is the most open.

AnonD-54889, 22 Nov 2014Intel are open source propably that's why they choose them. Intel is not open source, although they do participate in some projects.

Linux can run on many architectures, including ARM.

If it had phone and messaging capabilities, s805, 13/5mp cameras, wifi ac and more memory, I would have maybe thought about it, it's the right size to use a tablet phone.

By the way, Intel are a fail in the mobile space, they are losing money as they know they can't compete with Qualcomm. Give it up Intel, you're a loser.

wow, how exciting, back to sleep now, thought it was going to be something exciting. The Sony Z Ultra completely hammers this into the ground.

optional, 20 Nov 2014Can it run all android apps? or selected onlyAs of update 1.08 about 95% of Android apps i tried are at least working. Integration to sailfish notifications and other core ui parts still needs some polishing thou.
My observation is games even run faster than on equaly spect native android devices!

Funding is near to 1 million USD, great numbers for Jolla; https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/jolla-tablet-world-s-first-crowdsourced-tablet/x/9174763

"This is not a GSM device..." GSMArena says.

I don´t think the camera is the key factor to consider in a tablet. And at 199$ is hard to beat. Let´s hope the screen is more than just its resolution and Salfish 2.0 delivers as a tablet OS (something iOS barely does) though.
