KGI: Apple to ship 100 million 6.1-inch LCD iPhones in 2018

Ivan, 14 February 2018

iIf you're not acquainted with KGI Securities' analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, he's the one that projected that Apple is readying three new iPhones for 2018 - two OLED ones with 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch panels, and one LCD iPhone with a 6.1-inch screen.

Well, the same market analyst now says that Apple could ship up to 100 million 6.1-inch LCD iPhones before 2018 is over and at $700-$800 a pop.

If the predictions are true the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone will replace the iPhone 8 as the cheapest option, while the 5.8-inch OLED iPhone will likely be the same size and weight as the iPhone X, and the 6.5-inch OLED iPhone will be the iPhone X Plus that die-hard iPhone Plus fans are waiting for.

Some believe that the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone will lack Face ID and 3D Touch and will come with less RAM to keep price lower.

Others believe that all three 2018 iPhones will have 19.5:9 displays and Face ID.

Man yes worldwide but not every company sells worldwide. Let me ask you something. If Trump allows Huawei or better to say Xiaomi enter US market how much iphones you think apple will sell? I tell you less than 50% of usual sales. Problem ...

700-800 dollar you will get cheaper version with lower ram and LCD. Sorry for those 100 millions people, they will be robbed.
