Best phone ever!!! Extremely durable, great ui, waterproof (and when I say waterproof, I mean waterproof), only issue is old processing system & not the best camera, if you have this phone and want an upgrade, look into the duraforce ultra (the new pro 3 isn't the greatest.) this phone is a perfect size and I absolutely love it!!

X-Sparky, 26 Sep 2020What a piece of crap it crashes .strangest part these comme... moreI have never had any cel that acts up like my new Kyocera that I paid a lot of money for back a few months ago. It only works part of the time and I have had to fix it about 25 times.
I had planned to drive out of state with this being my only cel and I needed a REAL CEL PHONE that works in emergencies and not a play phone that does not even take phone calls and that I have to keep on fixing.
I had an important phone call that I missed today because of this obnoxious phone and this is a rare occurrence for a new phone.
In comparison, we have ground line phones that are about 50 years old that work like a charm.
I am sick on buying new cels ever year and taking the risk that the companies will insult me with their expensive trash.

I've tried. But this phone seems like it doesn't have enough space or memory to run the operating system. Put a few apps on it and it consistently locks up and shuts down. I installed a sd card to move what I could put of internal storage. That worked until the up date and now storage is at 70% full with no apps installed.
Any positive comments about this phone are false.
It's durable due to the fact I can't use it and it stays home.
Was expecting something much better from Verizon.

Garbage phone. I did the live chat to warranty my phone not working after 3 months they insisted I find the numbers on it and they sent me a link to take the back of the phone off if it wasn't in the SD card slot I did take the back of the phone off then they told me if you take the back of the phone off the warranties these people are sketchy at best I will never buy from Kyocera again.

In short, I've used Galaxy Android phones for years but I kept breaking the screens so I opted for something more durable. This Kyocera is what Verizon touted as their most rugged. That may or may not be true, I don't know. What I do know is that this phone is the biggest, most expensive piece of crap phone I've ever owned. The camera is horrible. The screen constantly locks and has to be reset, it's happened 3 times already just writing this. Voicemail sometimes works, other times (mostly) I get an error message and a code to provide customer service, which I have done twice already. The Bluetooth connectivity doesn't find anything available even when the device I try to pair is blinking right next to it. Stay far away from this piece of crap

Have run over 2000 hrs. without a reboot many times. Over 4000 once and all while doing everything that you would expect to do with a smart phone. Dropped many times no problem except cracking a few cheap screen protectors. I try not to get it wet because the water gets under the screen protectors, but have washed the dirt and grease off when replacing a cracked screen protector. Calls are good and loud even in the wind the screen is bright enough to see clearly in the full sun. I have 3 of them and use them interchangeably th

I got a second hand unit which made in Japan on Jan 2019,Verizon version,latest firmware
I think the great problem is fingerprint scanner will not work after sometime,and setting disappear also
But after hard reset,scanner works again and setting come back
I think due to software problem

Very tough and durable phone . I have had it submerged in sewer and industrial waste for 2.5 hrs and picked it up and it still works. Submerged multiple times kayaking no issues.

Even though I like this phone because I am not be trusted to hold anything that is breakable. LOL. Drop this one all the time and it is rugged. Bad news: camera totally totally totally sucks. Have resorted to to my 35-millimeter camera. That's really disappointing.

Dura force 1 0r 2 Never had a good batteries...,the first flat dura force battery(s) all died within a couple of years and would start to be depleted within a few minutes No matter what you did i.e shut off apps, etc. and the d.f.p2 is no different they/Kyocera made me get a Doogee

The good: Rock solid frame and glass, good speakers that's all!
The bad: SOFTWARE IS HORRIBLY SLOW AND DIM WITTED
USBC port over heated while charging several times and was ultimate killer of this
Bluetooth earbuds wouldn't stay connected
phone sent massive texts bombs to contacts all on its own, it sent "I LOVE YOU" 50 times to my boss at work
pictures would come out looking fuzzy like a 1950 TV set
Phone calls took about 30 seconds to start ringing
replaced phone 3 times within 12 month warranty period and all were crap.
Wouldn't recommend this phone to an enemy

Bought 7 of these for my company. While it is undisputably rugged, the overall performance is below oar. Short battery charge life, cellular coverage is far worse than the Galaxy S7 that they replaced, phone dies weird random things on it's own. My employees can't wait to replace them but we have a year left on our contract.

I've had this phone only 3 weeks, so bear that in mind with my review.
The bad:
1. I took it back the 3rd day after purchase because it wouldn't receive texts thru Verizon's standard text software. Verizon was able to fix that. So I kept the phone.
2. It doesn't like to hook up to bluetooth devices. It's hit and miss in a car, and works with other bluetooth devices only about 10 percent of the time. So my Soundboks can't be controlled by this phone. Whereas my wife's Samsung hooks right up to it.
3. There is a few seconds delay when making phone calls.
The good:
1. It connects online and surfs the web with no issues.
2. It seems as rugged as you could possibly get in a phone.
You get what you pay for, so at about 1/2 the price of modern phones... this one's a pass for me.
I'll be trading it on on another Samsung asap.

Compared to earlier iterations, this phone is rubbish. The battery drains within a few days even when brand new, and text messages are buried inside a few menus (the scrolling display on outer screen is impossible to read) and hard to find. If you're thinking that this will be an upgrade, think again. Hold on to your old one as long as it's working.
