hasideas, 16 May 2014Data plans and GPS will not work with this phone in Colombi... moreNot true, this phone works on GSM bands 850/1900 at least on 2G so you will have at least data at Edge speed, about 3G it says that it works with HSDPA, it is not specified the bands that it works with but if it works with 850/1900 it will work on 3G with all cell phone operators in Colombia, also since it works with UMTS and from phone arena I got specs that say that it works on bands UMTS 850/1900 so it must work with 3G on Colombia, sorry to say this but "TIGO representatives" usually are salesmen with no IT education maybe not even university degrees, I know technicians at cell phone support have technical degrees (not to be confused with university degrees)....not to be trust

        Data plans and GPS will not work with this phone in Colombia. Data only works with Wi-Fi.
        The GSM specifications are not compatible with local data services, according to several TIGO representatives here in Colombia. Voice and text works fine though.

          how come this isnt suggested as a comparison to sony's z1 conpact? sure specs are lower but ruggedness is a lot more.

                In terms of phone this phone packs more of a punch than the Commando by Casio. It also is more responsive to the touch, and also adds a unique vibration for the headset.
