The Sony Xperia Z3+ landed in India in June last year carrying a hefty price tag of INR 55,990 (around $830 at current exchange rates). Now, less than nine months after the launch, the device has received a solid price cut.

The handset (32GB, black color) is now available for as low as INR 25,999 (around $385), which is over 50% less than its launch price. Retailer Amazon has the model listed on its website for that price. A quick look at Sony India's website reveals that the phone is being officially sold for INR 42,990 (around $640).

Specs-wise, the Xperia Z3+ is powered by Snapdragon 810 SoC and sports a 5.2-inch 1080p display. It comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB expandable internal memory, and packs in a 2,930mAh battery. In terms of camera, the handset features 20.7MP rear unit and a 5.1MP front shooter. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box, but is set to receive the Marshmallow update this month.
