I just bought this phone and do research just do one thing guys don't update what's app thru play store download mobogenie software and update what's app thru it...... This phone is good to use. Its been 2 months without a problem. Except the battery life becomes less when you play games or watch videos. One more thing that Lava should look at the Design of the Microphone placement or the microphone sensitivity. When in call, the speaker has to actually shout a little or close the phone with your palm. Also, the body is sturdy. dropped the phone twice on road while biking. No scratches at all. :)
The recent update to Android has also mitigated the Whatsapp Hindi or devnagiri text problem and I think the phone is quite stable for usage.
The phone also supports high speed MicroSDHCs upto 32GB and it has good performance while retrieving data.
Overall, At 7k this is worth. I wouldn't recommend spending your hard earned money on costly Mobile phones by Samsung. Also the Moto E which was recently launched in comparison to mid ranged mobiles is quite good. It has same hardware but many features are not there what Lava Iris 406q is providing at the moment.
No matter the phone performs great it is worth the price as per me.

celkon a35k for 3k is better than this phone
i hv both phones. there is no news about kitkat update

Worst Phone performance.
It gets picked up automatically. Black screen and hanging are common. If any body has money to waste please donate rather than spending on this phone.
