Friends .if u have WiFi hot spot problem after updated KitKat .go to lava mobiles.com /smart phone/lava iris 406 q.it displays download updated file.click Download..it shows upupdate-all-lavairis 406 q.zip .just rename update.zip download and save on SD card.go about phone >click sw update .it shows update.zip .give continue option .it will upgrade then shows select WiFi network .u need another phone and enable WiFi hot spot .it will be paired.then on data connection ur mobile.then u will disconnect another WiFi hot spot .then you can click ur wifihot spot .it will automatically work .I proceeded this method.it now works

DritfK, 18 Oct 2014It was my worst decision to buy this crap product. Problems... moreHii this is sree using lava iris 406Q since may31. I had a problem that phone is burning if I use it for a 15 mins continuously. I had upgraded it with KitKat version 4 days back since I can't able to download any videos on it and poor camera , less battery backup low volume I can't hear any music with out my head phones and even ringtone sound is also less plz fix it

My lava is not detecting its SD card after inserting!!! I get the error as no SD card!!!!!

and paste in SD card.
go to software update. it will detect..

You just broke a world record of providing the most crappiest update ever. After the Kitkat update, the phone is almost useless. Keeps hanging every now and then. Broken Wifi tethering/hotspot. Picture taken are not even worst. Do you even test the update before releasing it to public??? Pathetic!!! Really pathetic!!!

i have been using 406q for the past six months. i had only one problem. that is the call quality was poor in 2g. but in 3g even with -110db signal strength, call quality was comparable with all other phones. by call quality, i meant the volume of the mic.
i installed kitkat update two days back. to my surprise, both call volume and speaker volume have increased considerably and my callers are comfortable speaking to me in 2g also.
thanks to lava for such a nice phone.
