Lava Iris 550Q is official, packs a 5.5" 720p display

01 April, 2014

Lava has announced its latest phablet the Iris 550Q. It packs a 5.5" IPS display of 720p resolution and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU and 1GB of RAM.

The Iris 550Q comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of box and Lava is kind enough to include a flip cover for free. There's just 4GB of internal storage, but thankfully, there's a microSD card slot allowing for up to 32GB expansion.

At the back of the Lava Iris 550Q, there's an 8MP camera with a BSI sensor that can record 1080p videos, while under the removable back cover lies a 2,600mAh battery. The company says it's capable of up to 10 hours of 2G talk time.

Lava launches the Iris 550Q today in India and in major online stories in the country for $217 (Rs.13,000). Given the added flip cover, it sounds like a good deal to us.
