So after giving my mom her first smartphone, Lava Iris Alpha i thought i was making her life simpler with everything present in front of her at a single touch. But just because her phone had the older OS she started facing a lil trouble. Unfortunately at the moment the notification for the upgrade came just as i was leaving for a vacation.Thankfully the steps were so simple that in spite of my mom not being too tech savy she did the whole up-gradation on her own.That made her feel so happy and proud of herself of being able to do that on her own. The upgrade via FOTA of course is a good thing since the user doesn't have to run around the place to make sure it is done correctly. My only issue is that it needs a lil battery and can't be done with less battery.

Tired of the constant whining of my younger brother of still being stuck with Android Kitkat while the rest of the world was moving ahead with Android Lollipop, I was really happy with the upgrade available via FOTA. At least now he has stopped complaining!!! Finally his Lava iris Alfa has upgraded to Android Lollipop. As soon as the update came he connected his phone to wifi and the charger and updated the OS.Now he's happily flaunting the smooth performance of his phone to anybody who would care!!!

am two time change touch panel and mick volume very low sound effort plz dont buy this model nooo lava company

Wow. only thing is it takes atleast 12 hours for your phone to work normally after the dalvik apps are convert to ART. If you do not have any patience, just backup contacts and other important things and factory reset. Then you have to install all apps again. Lollipop update is around 500 MB. It may be more than 2 GB if you install your all apps again. So Wifi recommended.

What an amazing ph. YR' It is the most expected ph. It doesn't hang even you load more and more apps. I REALLY EXTREMELY SURPRISED...

This brand is little costlier compared to the features than other Indian brands. But believe me this is my second Lava phone. First was using iris505 which worked for almost 2 years and I gave up only because I wanted to buy new one. I cannot go anything beyond than Lava due to the fact that it was running fine and value for money. This phone is amazing. I trust this brand.

1 GB RAM, expandable memory, 5 inch screen, quad core processor, 5 mp auto focus camera. What else can you expect in 6.5K.Lava rocks and its alfa is definitely an ALFA PHONE! just wish the secondary cam would have been better but as i am not so obsessed with selfies and occasionally video chat.It's great!

I got just one word for Lava Iris Alfa. Amazing. Its got much more than what you can expect from a phone of 6.5 K. Runs on kit kat and has a 1 GB ram, Motorola and Samsung offers this in more than 12K. I MEAN LIKE WHATS THE POINT. I PERSONALLY PREFER INDIAN BRAND LAVA MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE.
