i had custom rommed this phone so many times,the best version is android 5 or 6, if u can use android 4
android 7 is very laggy
this phone doesnt overheat. which is atleast a plus from modern phones.
but its now just a phone.
i would recomend to upgrade it. obviously, but as a back up phone. its still too bad
there are better phones.
redmi 9a perhaps as a backup?

I have been using this phone since 2015 July. its condition is same as the new piece, incredible battery back up. i didn't find a small complaint for this mobile.

I bought this phone back in 2015 when it first came out. It has been 3 1/2 years. The one thing i like about this phone is the huge battery. It can last 12-13hrs of web browsing or watching video and 7-8 hrs of gaming. Now the battery capacity is half of the original. I still use the kitkat and haven't upgraded to the lollipop because of the problems with battery drain issues and the other problems. The quality and reliability of the phone is one of the best. My advice to the others using this phone is to delete the old sms message and apps that aren't used anymore and also move photos and video to the micro sd card. This is to preven't the phone from lagging. Also to have as much free storage in the internal memory. Restart the phone daily or regularly before charging to free up ram.

I earlier upgrade and downgrade many times my phone through system update. it is disaster to phone. But this time I do a factory reset after upgrade and phone works perfectly. battery is stellar. no hangs and issues. Just do factory reset after upgrade. works perfectly. use more than 30 apps. Works smoothly. no hanging. thanks

Anonymous, 03 Jul 2018How!? There is an instruction on 4PDA. So first you should make a NVRAM backup. Then you download https://cloud.mail.ru/public/2FtH/osoAK5Xtp and extract with WinRAR. You open SP Flashtool and load scatter file from target-bin folder (this folder is located in the folder you extracted). Then you press download, connect phone to PC and wait. Then try to turn on - first time it probably won't turn on, but second time will. That's it. Good luck!
