Ram, 13 Feb 2015Any chance you got your SIM cut? that could result in it no... moreThanks for your suggestion. The SIM was provided as a microSIM by airtel thought it says 64k on it. The SIM was working fine in another tablet earlier.
I did get it working. I had to turn Mobile Data on first. That allowed me to add a Google account to the phone and other things fell into place.
Not sure if the phone requires mobile data before it works with Wi-Fi on a home network.

friends i have solution for heating and sd card gallery and video problem...just remove your battery when the phone is on..and remove u r sd card also and placed again and also place the battery and on the phone ..sd card is detected normal manner and also heat is gone and work as normal phone....it is true it append just now to me>> so many persons faced this problem thats why i am post urgently...

the best would be to go to your service provider & ask them for a official MicroSIM. (if you have Airtel then ask for the 128bit SIM)

I just got a new Lenovo A6000. I have put a working 3G SIM card into the USIM slot (slot1). However the phone does not detect it and I get SIM Not active on powering on the phone.
Under Settings->SIM management, it says Please enter SIM number. I have tried entering the SIM number printed on the SIM card however no luck.
I tried the same SIM in slot 2 (SIM/2G) also. No luck.
Also, even though I have configured and connected to Wi-Fi network, I am unable to access any website through browser and also none of the google apps are connecting. Is there a problem with the device?

Kindly suggest which phone is better
1. Acer Liquid Z500 or Acer Liquid Jade S
or
2. Lenovo A6000 or Lenovo K3
Also, is it confirmed that these phonez are only available online and not in stores?
Further, Lenovo has micro sim slots, which mean I might have to cut my current sim or buy a new micro sim. Is there any other option?
