After updating your lenovo a6000 plus you do one thing that was factory reset its relay works on contacts name missing and whatsapp issues.

After reading, people's review i finally updated my phone to Lollipop 5.0.2 yesterday.First thing I did was to backup all my contacts. hike and whats app messanger's folders to my sd card and then removed it.
Updated it through 4G WiFi, which took almost half hour.
After update, i tried to update all apps but most of them showed 'Error downloading package', also google play services
was showing some Architecture error.
So I did factory reset, which took another 5-10 minutes.After that I updated and installed all apps
When I opened Google Maps, it showed notification that google services must be updated, so I updated it.
Before opening messangers, I inserted my sd card back and copied their backup to internal memory
So when I opened those apps, they restored back my messages.
Now about update:
This is not the update, you can cheer about. Look wise OK, profile options like General, silent, outdoor etc removed and a new thing 'Interruptions' is introduced,which is somewhat similar.Around 300MB extra ram is used, so Free Ram is 0.9GB.
More themes are there but all are almost same.
I felt no loss in Battery backup. Heating due to Mediaserver app is gone, which is a big relief for me.Since I not did Factory reset with SD card in phone, No problem in writing or modifying contents.
Less options in camera, looks a bit grainy.
Faced No problem in syncing contacts in any app, call log etc.Also Whats app is more smooth. Felt no lag in operating it.
I dont know much about programming etc, but i felt that Kitkat was better than Lollipop because it was more user friendly.
Overall, I am not fully satisfied with this update.Some things are added and some good things are gone.So only if u want to try something new, update it or stay with Kitkat.

I updated my lenovo a6000+ yesterday and its working fine.
Steps I followed to update:
-factory reset before update (this seems not required but as we are moving from 32 bit OS to 64 bit OS, It would be good if we remove all our data and app which might fail after update)
-downloaded update and installed it.
-after update again factory reset device. ( this would solve playstore problem)
I haven't faced any issue after update. Look and feel and performance is awesome!!

AnonD-438263, 08 Sep 2015I am using Lenovo A6000 plus mobile...Recently I buy Memory... moremake sure media storage/ media server is not disabled. if it is disabled, then enable it n restart ur mobile. If its enable den repair ur sd card in laptop/pc. If this also doesnt work then copy photos n videos in laptop n then format ur sd card via mobile. Then copy back ur images n videos. It shud work now. Reply back. Thanks

Everywhere is OK after updating lolypop.Guys only you have to do factory reset. camera improved a lot .No grain in low light. Daylight pictures are nearly like Redmi2.(Alltime redmi2 is best in picture quality under Rs 7000. No heating issue, no battery drainage.Only there is one issue I have found.Although Dolby is present but somewhere loudness has been decreased slightly in the case of Music playing and video playing but sound quality is intact. There is no changes in the time of calling both in normal and hands free.Well-done Lenovo,go ahead.Pls don't negative remarks for your own ignorance so that users are confused.
