I bought this phone for 8k PhP. Cheap for a phone with such specifications.
The screen quality and performance is good, but the camera and battery isn't.
The battery lasts long on standby, but it drains way too fast when playing.
As for the camera, though the quality is good, but it is only limited to taking pictures with good lighting. The front camera is not recommended for indoor use with just a flourescent light in the room. The image is too dark and image is hardly visible. As for the back camera, the flash affects the image color and quality.
But overall, this phone is good enough for its price.

adi, 13 Aug 2013why auto rotate when the sms was not working?to activate auto rotate go to settings and choose "display" and press auto rotate,

Any body who face the auto rotate problem, install tha Go Launcher.
Adjust the display brigtness on minimum and Auto.
First of all Comlete the Battery Charge Discharge Cycle.

Quality build lower than samsung. Agree on that. Touchscreen could have been better. Even my sgw screen are better n more sensitive .

brought this phone 4 days back for 13k, already disappointed with the quality of the external body as well as the performance.
Said to be quad core, but the processor is very slow and works like a single core or any ordinary android phone which we can get for 8-9k. There are lot of features missing which are essential. when the screen is locked, internet will not work in the background or does not do email/ news/ twitter, facebook, weather refresh. even the battery dies down by the evening.
screen resolution & touch is also not great. difficult to search files in downloads. also, there is no my files options or inbuilt security lock for apps or files / notes.
world time need be manually selected for each country, unlike having a globe map and highlighting the time zones and times.
online downloads and email opening takes time.
if we play games, within 1 game is completed the battery drops by 50% of current battery level.
go for any other mobile samsung, sony, htc.

hi gents
i bought this phone a week before and it's working very fine; as some users mentioned voip call not working properly on this phone; but you can configure sip voip by nimbuzz application what you can download through playstore' do it in proper way you will really wonder; b' coz after a long try today i did it's successfully working; as well as skype calling it's marvelous;
thanks to lenovo given this phone @ this price level

Its a good phone,but i think it has outdated Gpu..overall its a great phone..

Hi.. i'm Rony from Indonesia.
I just bought a Lenovo A706 last week. following my experience using Lenovo A706:
Pros:
- Cheap Quadcore Android with Qualcomm chipsets
- Fast GPS lock, less than 10 seconds (this is why GPS with Qualcomm chipset better than the Mediatek chipset)
- Clear screen using IPS technology
- Fast for gaming
Disadvantages:
- Camera is not good when the light is less, still better my old phone Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830
- Internal microphone for VOIP is not good, I had to talk with distance 3-5cm from the phone, so that my voice can be heard
