    this is how i do it. please try at your own risk.

    1. download this file: http://www.mediafire.com/download/0bzz56zdcb4urp9/update_teleservice_ussd+fix.zip

    2. put the update_teleservice_ussd+fix.zip file on your SD Card.

    3. install Quick Boot Reboot via google play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.siriusapplications.quickboot&hl=en

    4. Start Quick Boot Reboot and select RECOVERY.

    5. Your Phone will reboot into CWM-Recovery mode.

    6. Use the volume down button to highlight INSTALL ZIP and then press power button to select it.

    7. highlight CHOOSE ZIP FROM SDCARD and then press power button to select it.

    8. highlight update_teleservice_ussd+fix.zip and then press power button to select it.

    9. confirm that you want to install it.

    10. after the installation is complete select REBOOT SYSTEM NOW and its done.

                        Hi guys

                        I wanna share 3 fix for A806.

                        1. Names not coming up for calls or sms

                        Go to Concatcs > Tap on menu > More features and settings > More display options > Matching digit numbers > 7

                        Set that and names will match for both calls and sms.

                        2. Chinese character under contacts for calls and sms

                        Go to Concatcs > Tap on menu > More features and settings > More display options > Location > Untick/untap those 2 options

                        No more Chinese character kohkoh

                        3. Ussd is cut half (cannot see full)

                        Download this file and flash it using twrp or cwm.

                          Anyone who want to root your phone here is English TWRP recovery mode http://www.needrom.com/download/recovery-twrp-mds-2-8-0-0-lenovo-a806/. Make sure you know what you are doing or your phone might brick, good luck

                          Trick: to install the MTK driver & flash the recovery you need to do it without battery.

                                For those who are heavy users, temperature for this phone can go up to 42°C when playing games (tested with Asphalt 7). Really smooth, no lagging at all. The camera quality is okay. My Antutu score for this phone is about 3200+ points, quite good since it has octacore CPU and 2GB memory. If you want to root this phone please know what you're doing since the recovery mode is quite confusing because of bad English translation.

                                  New model for this year. Nice spec. Affordable price. Camera in good quality 13/5 MP. But quite thick.

I update my phone to lenovo vibe ui 2.0 and need to root and install google apps back myself. I think because the update only meant for china region and not international.

                                        Just received my Lenovo a806 but find that I cannot do system update. Battery life drain off quite fast and need to install battery saver apps then it is ok.
