Why can't they offer a 5G version, too?? For me it is essential.. I often travel where there is no WiFi, and using my phone's mobile hotspot is not an ideal option.

This heavily depends on way of use, though. In some scenarios it could be depleted quite fast just like other similar setup devices. It requires to pick the right product and use with common sense. Then this is O.K. at minimum. (despite reviews generally suggest to be not among best) Further notes: The most power-consuming 144 Hz isn't necessary and doesn't have to be used at all. And charging is relatively fast, and if you choose 80% charge, it'll be 45 min break and you're ready for another flight.

How enough is the 10200 mAh battery, considering the chipset/processor, the large screen with 144Hz and the lenovo specific ZUI?

Gru, 28 Apr 2025As the owner of Xiaoxin Pad Studio (Lenovo tab plus) and Xi... moreYes, I get your point, and I also recommend the China version since the specs are actually better. But why I will still tell people to be cautious is from past experience. For the tech savvy, it is easy. I have had colleagues who are lazy to mess around to try and get the device to "act like the international version". Since the person who asked did not specify alot of things. I would just give advise based on the logic of "powering on and immediately can use".

At the very minimum, for the China version to use Google services, you would need to go into the settings or Google services page to activate it. Pardon me since I activated mine 3 months back and can't remember the exact settings.

Also, there is always the concern of warranty. Some who are willing to take the risk might end up with a faulty device. It is a chance that the buyer have to take.

When uninstall pre-install app, everything look the same global version, the only different is I got software update more frequence than global version. So if your country custom doesnt charge for electronic devices, I adviced you to import direct from China.

Every single pre-install app or chinese app can be uninstall or disable (from native browswer to even Appcenter). You don't need to do anything just hold the apps, click app info and uninstall them. You will notice the same interface to the global version. For Xiaoxin Pad Studio, when you boot up and choose english language, the name become Lenovo Tab Plus. These are the reasons I choose ZUI over HyperOS.

Konrad Lorenz, 11 Apr 2025Depends, if one is coming from hyperOS then zui is a miracle 😅You cannot be more right lol. I came from Xiaomi Pad 5, and Lenovo's ZUI is just much better. I'm loving it so far, a few bugs here and there but a miracle compared to HyperOS.

How is ZUI 16? Is it like HyperOS where half the settings/buttons actually does nothing? Or does each toggle actually have running code under it? I don't want to get a Xiaomi experience if I buy this, anything but the rotten wannabe Apple.

If it is really functional usb 3.2 at this price point, then its a great choice, Samsung slowly removed usb 3 feom all its below flagship model which is 3X pricier than budget model.
