According to some websites it is better and ranked much higher than Samsung S4.
All your queries in the post works, Whatsapp, google play store exists, heating is not a major issue when texting or calling. Usually heats up a bit when playing HD games, but it's not burning hot as you had presumed it.
Don't worry, it's a good phone and it's an android phone will work like a charm.

My friend does have this phone and it looks gorgeous.
1) Indian version comes with Play store and hence you can download all the apps.
2) Yes it supports Whats app and it works fine.
3) Yes there is a slight heating issue but its bearable and which phone does not heat tell me :)
I have noticed the heating issue when used the phone for Camera and games. But 10 min of games should be fine.
4) For the usage which you have mentioned it should easily come for one day+ few hours. But I have heard from that when Chrome is used the battery life is drained very fast and hence recommend to use UC Browser. Also the Acu weather widget on the home screen consumes more battery. The stock UI is heavy and its recommended to use Nova launcher or any other which has less battery usage.
5) Not sure about the head phone quality but the speaker quality is good.
6) LG Optimus G Pro is a good alternative but the price difference is around 11K.
Even I am under a big confusion whether to go for K900 or G Pro. My only concern with K900 is the 2500mah battery. Had it been 3000mah would have definitely opted for it.

Lenovo finally makes a phone that will work on the T-M0bile USA network and then they cripple the phone with just 16GB of storage and no micro sd card slot. So sad.

Among with lumia 1020 this is the best phone launched in 2013.all samsung and iphone phones r garbage.
K900 needs a slot for memory card

Supersatisfied phone actually. With the screen 5.5 inch. 2GB RAM. Jelly Bean Android v4.2. Such a great phone to have. Look elegence with color and size. Should have!!

Hello Users,
I am deeply in love with this phone and I intend to buy this since it fulfills most of my Usage criteria.
Although I have a few questions.So please Help Me!
1.Does this device have a Google Play store.Considering I am new to android what happens if it doesn't have a playstore.Can it be downloaded?
2.Does this support WHATS APP?
3.Ive heard of heating issues.My basic usage is for Calling,texting,whats app over Wifi,Games rarely for 10 mins,Facebook and few minutes or Surfing.Will such kind of usage also heat the device too much?
4.How will be the battery life for such usage?
5.How good is the Earpiece (phone quaity) and headphone music quality?
6.Any other alternative phones for above kind of usage
my criteria is - BIG AND GORGEOUS SCREEN, Good battery and Sound Quality.

I would say this is the most value for money handset for the large screen segment. Lenovo has published the kernel source, you may anticipate many custom ROMs coming soon.

Hey, from what I have read other comment, then all of you prefer which smartphone for me to buy that have same spec with this phone.
My friend suggest me LG Optimus G2 but it was too pricey. Lenovo K900 is MYR1699, LG Optimus G2 around MYR2xxx.
I do not like samsung well. So what phone can you prefer to me?

nice phone.. but there should be a card slot in the phone for external card.

its too big phone , price also high , it should be low price and size should be maximum 4.5 inch .
