it is a great design n definitely a good device to have
for india, be sure that the Lenovo mobile india service backup is pretty disappointing n lacks the ability to provide service
u dont want to b into a troubled situation where in ur device has a problem and there is no one to actually resolve it...thats the last thing u want to have with gadgets ...that too when u spend enough on a branded mobile
i m having that experience with a brand new phone delivered from Lenovo's The do store ...which is faulty-flickering display and freequent call disconnecting, for a month now...with out solution...even lost hope
good luck guys ...till it has a problem n need service/backup u can enjoy it... it is a good phone

Anand, 04 Aug 2013Pls Pick one for me K900, S4, S4 mini I am looking for a ... moreIf the S4 is easier to get, I'drecommend that one. The K900 is on par to it, but might not be what you want completely. It lacks some things like removable battery, microSD card slot, more support centers, accessories, unique features. But, still is a great device. Its design is the best easily, out of the best high end smartphones. The Intel processor is on par the best Snapdragons. So, actually it's a difficult choice. Ha
Pick whichever you like, but never ever pick a mini version, those are undesirable for high end seekers, are meant for those who don't know what they are buying; a toy.

Anoop, 07 Aug 2013I am using a Lenovo K900 and truly admire the build quality... moreThanks man, you're a proactive user for telling us your observations.
I know this is a very powerful device, because I use the Razr i. You understand.
The heating is too high? How much grades?
Do you use the Lenovo UI? What's your opinion on it?
        How about RAM usage?

You must have the International ROM, with Google apps.
Let me recommend you an screen dimmer app: Screen Dimmer by Haxor Industry. It's simply perfect for this job. It will help you take better control of screen brightness, and will let you have more battery life. UPnP
And to enjoy media in that big and beautiful screen: Bubble UPnP by BubbleSoft. The best, simply.

I'm debating between this and the Xperia Z Ultra. What would you say?
I wish Lenovo launched this sooner in many more countries and mine (Peru), they are delaying way too much. It's not even announced. -.-
I really wanted the K900, and hoped for an improved version with microSD card slot still as K900, but now they are working in the K910. The K900 design remains unbeaten, I don't know what the K910 will look like. :/

I am using a Lenovo K900 and truly admire the build quality and design. Below listed are few Pros & Cons I have observed
          Pros
          1.Commendable design and build quality
2.Good CPU performance (I have used other Android based phones powered by Snapdragon, Intel is definitely doing its job with immense dedication)
          3.Admirable camera/picture quality
4.Good display (text is crisp and clear and colors are vibrant).
          5.Creditable touch sensitivity
6.Battery life is better than many other phones with similar capability
          7.Quality of voice calls
          8. Value for money

          Cons
1.Back panel gets heated up while working with heavy apps and games.
          2.Availability of accessories
3.Devoid of dedicated camera button & Multimedia Card slot
4.Sound output (loudspeaker) is not great

Overall it is a good phone and the money paid is totally justified. It stands way ahead of Note 2.

Amit Kumar, 06 Aug 2013Hi, This would have been the most desired and best phon... moreYou're right in everything.
Maybe they'll release a K900 with microSD card slot soon, they had one in the CES event, so it's a possibility. Lenovo might have plans for this feature, but it's a failure not having it there already.
Anyway, it's a very attractive device as it is, USB OTG can help. But, SD card is better, of course.
You know? There's a K910 in the works. It's reported to have Snapdragon 800 and microSD card slot, IF this will be the "upgraded version" we were waiting for,I hope Lenovo releases it on time. Stupid Lenovo has been too slow. I really wanted the K900 32gb version, but the no release dates are running my expectancy. So I started to wait for the Sony Xperia Ultra, will see how it all ends and what device I'll get in a couple of months, waiting time still, again, but now for the K910 and Xperia Z Ultra. I hope the new K910 has the same design as the K900 cause its design remain unbeaten!

              Hi,
This would have been the most desired and best phone in its category but it lacks in one place which pushes it back. THERE IS NO MEMORY CARD SLOT. Phones like this which allows you to take HD Video, 13 MPx Images, thousands of apps, personal files, songs, Movies and songs etc, which needs more memory and if memory is limited to 16GB only & where in user get only 10 or 12 GB (maybe less) space for them, it is really painful to invest money on this device. This device was so well designed with its features and performance but just due to lack of space I would prefer not to purchase. May be Lenovo will include the slot in coming model. So, do not go for this model if there is lot of space is required for you. But in any case you will need it because capturing HD videos and images with apps and songs will fill the memory very soon. Believe me.

Anonymous, 05 Aug 2013Yeah its true, im using k9.Can you be more specific? Can you give more data? Temperature? Situations?
I'd say if in some cases or easily, it goes beyond 45° C (113° F) it's an issue.
We should go to the K900 thread at XDA to hear and ask more about this.

It's a marvelous app. It can move heavy games data folders to the sd flawlessly. No more worries for lack of free space. I have 12.5 gb of games in my sd on my Razr i moved by this app working perfectly. You just need to have root access, find the app at XDA, the developer is so kind for this.

I read reviews of lenovo k900 at "http://www.thinkdigit.com/Mobiles-PDAs/Lenovo-IdeaPhone-K900_16420.html" ...in which the author says it has heating issues.
Has any user of this phone faced heating issues?
In that article he says "However, the IdeaPhone K900 heats up even under the slightest of load, and under gaming, can become uncomfortably warm to hold. Play Real Racing HD on it for 20 minutes, and you will know what we are talking about."
I wanna buy this phone...any help will be highly appreciated.

Anonymous, 04 Aug 2013Hi this is a great phone. It is the only phone that can pla... moreThere's a 32gb version. But 11 out of 16gb is not that bad. There's USB OTG to help too. But I do agree it should be more. They had a version with microSD card slot in the CES event, but haven't released yet, I don't know why. I hope they release it soon, maybe as an improved version. But as it is, I find it almost perfect. My Razr i backs it up, ha.

Have you tried another launcher? Nova, Go? Can you try and comment how it looks and work please?

How do you like the screen? How do you like the size? I think I like it because it's big and thin. I'd think the screen makes watching animes on mobile a gorgeous experience. What do you say? I already love it in my Razr i, ha.

Can you share your "About phone" screen in a snapshot? I'd like to see that information to know what system version and all you have. Please.

How about RAM? How much does it have free after a reboot once configured to your needs? To have an idea; my Razr i gets almost 400MB
of free RAM, multitasking is very good and only a couple of times it has had to close the minimized browser to keep switching apps I was using, even games like Modern Combat 3, Nova 3, NFS MW, etc resume fine if I have to minimize for a while. So, I'd expect to double this satisfaction with the K900. I like torturing my slaves, ha. What can you say about this? How good does the K900 performs?
How about battery life? I can get up to 9 hours of constant usage out of a charge in my Razr i using a screen dimmer for browsing, controlling the screen brightness and background processes is the key to longer battery life. And it can go a day perfectly with a charge, unless you spend the whole
our outside where you'll need to use higher screen brightness, but this is normal and controllable. Overall, pleased.
Gaming does affect battery life, only 5-6 hours. Ha :/
I'd like you to rely and tell us about these things, please. Also, some screen shots would be nice.
Btw, have you been frequenting the threads about the advice at XDA? Tell me your ID, maybe we can share some cool very useful apps.

Tell you all where to get the international ROM is kind of difficult, because I can't remember the official site, but in Lenovo XDA forum thread they have published this. So it was easier to say anyone can get it there. The ROM works perfectly, the UI is a matter of taste, but there are launchers out there to pick if you don't like the stock UI.

I'd wish to say more, but your horrible and stupid way of typing is so annoying I barely read more of your reply. Need to remind you to type properly next time, this is not your SMS app.

Hi this is a great phone. It is the only phone that can play 10 bits video. I own this phone and very much happy with it. Here are the things which i don't like about this phone:
The UI looks very odd to be honest. I hope Lenovo fixes this and gives us stock Android version with slight modification. Lack of SD card is another major disappointment, Lenovo could have given at least 32 GB Internal memory. There's too much shake when recording video, hope Lenovo would use Xenon flash and optical image stabilization with good camera. Price is a little bit high.
