Newer unit with Precision Pen 3 2023 use MPP instead.
The do advertise the [Pen] to support WGP, AES, and MPP
But the [tablet] unit seems to only support MPP

But it does have usb c out through the landscape usb c port, I can connect it to my thunderbolt dock and use its desktop mode with mouse and keyboard just fine.

The 2023 model uses a different pen protocol than the older model. I tried apple pencil, wacom pro pen 2, lenovo precision pen 2 and even my old S-pen all to no avail. Ended up biting the bullet and got the Y700 2023 specific stylus... Which I am still waiting to be shipped. If anyone knows any alternative stylus that works with this tablet lmk.
Cheap usb c cables with thinner connectors will wiggle when plugged in like no tomorrow. The long edge usb c port won't even charge with my cheap cable because it keeps on breaking contact.
Also a bit annoyed that for whatever reason the tablet refuses to connect to work wifi, automatically or through advanced options, not saying this is the tablet's fault, but just a heads up in case anyone planned on using this for work like I do.

I just ordered it from AliExpress, CN version, 16/512.
Didn't realize there is no GPS tbh, but doesn't really matter.

This is what a proper Android tablet should be. Near flagship SoC, great display tons of internal storage and good RAM, headphone jack, and MicroSD slot. Not to mention 2 USB 3.1 ports! Although they might not be OTG...

Really odd, you do a premium tablet, with all the aspects of a tablet missing.
Sim, biggest basic, whats a tablet for? Mobile gaming/work/media consumption.
MOBILITY, that's the whole point.
I see all these comments defending their lack of a sim.
What for? If it has the features you want, no need to even comment.
Don't assume the rest of the world has wifi access everywhere.
Plenty of people in the world have multiple simcards too, business and personal, especially professionals and business individuals, having a specific device linked to a specific phoneline is priceless.
The lack of sim in a laptop, sure you can use a 4g/5g dongle. But i sure would appreciate a gaming laptop with a sim slot. Eg - Rog X13/Z13. Another superb premium packed product, missing one, simple, device.
Without the option of even having one custom installed with their plethora of variations.

The Y700 is by far my favorite and the Realme Pad Mini would be fine, but the 800p screen ruins it. It would have been really good with a 1080p screen. The iPad Mini 6 is a disappointment for me, but I hate iOS. I had bought the iPad Air 4 in the past and returned it the same day. If you like iOS then the iPad Mini 6 is a fine choice. I will probably buy this Y700 soon as well.
