Updated to Lolipop over official update. Works like a charm! Not a single problem at all. Sound is better than before especially in headphones. Camera focusing much faster,battery life just like before. Satisfied.

Me, 02 Nov 2015Long awaited Android update hits Lenovo P70 now its Lollipop 5.1I updated my phone to Lolipop 5.1
I found that the recent apps has vanished
The features such as double tap screen on and shake lock has also vanished
The security is also vanished
I wish I would like to have this fixed or I would like to get my phone back to KitKat
Will lenovo provide the features back with an update
Or is this permanent.
If so pls let me know

For conclusion - Lollipop is very poor for now, KitKat was a lot better.
I'm considering to get back on KitKat, bit I'm afraid of damaging my phone since I have no experience in all of this flashing that rizla86 mentioned. Factory reset probably won't work so I'm on Lollipop for now.

My Lollipop works just fine, but...
I hate that there isn't all that great functions anymore, especially double tap screen! Next, settings menu is so poor, I can't properly see usage of my batery for example, it's all divided. Internal memory is reduced to 2 Gb free space only (before update I had 4.6 Gb free space).

Better dont go for the lollipop upgrade too soon. The battery life is much lower than the kitkat and many usefull features are missing like double tap unlock, shake screenlock and more. Wait for lenovo to release a usefull updatewhich fixes all the issues.

For those who have upgraded their lenovo p70, what are the advantages and disadvantages from kitkat to lollipop based on your experience..
I cant decide if I will upgrade my lenovo p70 to lollipop or should I stay to kitkat..

So far so good, my Lolipop works fine, I just dont't like that there is no double tap function anymore, I was so used on it... I hope they'll fix it first! Also, I don't like this new white keyboard, older was mutch better. And It has only one icon for sending sms and then pop up window to choose from which sim to send. On kitkat it had two icons for two sim cards.

I've received my update to lollipop some hours ago, Please how to get the old lenovo security program? and also the lenovo weather? I couldn't found them on the play store.

@All the people crying about lollipop, no one forced you to upgrade. It's your own responsibility to check out others' reviews before updating your system. Lollipop has been out for around a year now. All of its bugs are known. For p70, lollipop has been available for around 2 weeks in Pakistan. If you actually took some effort to read, you would've easily discovered all the faults and advantages so don't act like you've been wronged.
