Lenovo releases Z6 Pro 5G variant in dark blue finish
On Friday at Lenovo’s Innovation and Technology Conference in Beijing, the company announced a new variant of the Lenovo Z6 Pro 5G in a new dark blue model. The only differences over the 4G model are the color and added support for 5G.
At the same time, an executive from Lenovo – which primarily sells smartphones in China, announced via Weibo that it will only make 5G smartphones for the Chinese market moving forward.
Lenovo mobile phone in China [is] all in 5G from today! We only do 5G mobile phones! With the arrival of the 5G era, we are welcoming TA with more exciting products. (translated) – Chen Jin, General manager for Lenovo Business.
The Z6 Pro 5G runs a Snapdragon 855 CPU and offers a large 6.39-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display. There’s also a quad camera with a main 48MP camera, a telephoto 8MP, an ultra-wide 16MP, and a 2MP macro camera. There’s also a 4,000 mAh battery and 32MP front-facing camera.
The Lenovo Z6 Pro 5G is also the cheapest smartphone with 5G support - it has a starting price of CNY 3299 (~$471) and it comes with 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and 5G connectivity. The news is still fresh, so Lenovo has not yet offered availability information about the new dark blue 5G model.

This looks like a really interesting phone based on the specs. It seems to have what I'm looking for in a new phone; 5G, 6+ RAM, expandable storage and a screen without an overly curved edge. Hey, it even has a headphone jack!
