Lenovo S60 launched in India for $204

Lenovo continues its bullish plan to pump as many budget level smartphones in India with the launch of new S60, codenamed Sisley. This mid-range smartphone joins the S-series family bearing striking resemblance with iPhone models. Lenovo S60 is available for purchase at INR 12,999 ($204) from the company’s own Thedostore, Flipkart, and Amazon India websites.

Last month, the Lenovo S60 was quietly launched in Russia for $290. The S60 sports a 5” 720p IPS display offering great viewing angles and is powered by a 64-bit quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 mobile chipset, 2GB of RAM, 8GB on-board storage, and memory slot to add up to 32GB microSD card.

At the back, it has a 13MP camera with autofocus and LED flash while 5MP front camera is decent enough to take selfies. By default, the S60 runs the Android 4.4 Kitkat based Lenovo Vibe 2.0 UI and is expected to be upgraded to Vibe 3.0 UI based on Android 5.0 Lollipop in the near future.

This dual-SIM smartphone offers dual-standby along with support for LTE Cat4 network bands - 1 (2100MHz), 3 (1800MHz), 7 (2600MHz) and 20 (800MHz). The S60 weighs 128 grams with mere 7.7mm thickness including 2150 mAh battery. For India, Lenovo is selling the S60 in Graphite Grey color.
