Lenovo postpones Z5 Pro GT launch

Yordan, 14 January 2019

Lenovo Z5 Pro GT arrived as the first Snapdragon 855-powered smartphone mid-December. The company gave fans nearly a month to prepare their wallets with a promise to start the pre-orders on January 15. Now however the launch has been postponed by a week. Pre-orders will be taken on January 22, while actual sales begin on January 29.

The Z5 Pro GT is an update over the Z5 Pro slider with the latest Qualcomm chipset and up to 12 GB RAM. There’s also visual differences between the two devices with red accents around the camera and on lower portion of the slider. Screen and camera remained unchanged - 6.4” AMOLED with UD fingerprint scanner and 16 + 24 MP main shooter.

While launch dates are postponed, the prices remain the same - 6/128 GB for CNY2,698 ($390/€340), 8/256 GB for CNY3,398 or $500/€440, and the most powerful one with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage costs CNY4,398 or about $650/€560.

Looks like a great phone, I really wanna know if its 5g ready though as 5g is turned on in my city even though no devices are using it as of yet. Wouldnt be surprised if there are further delays though...

Anyone willing to take a $10 bet they will postpone it again?
